Was there not something in the plans to have a high speed rail system to Disney from the airport... or something to that effect... but paid for by the city or Orlando.?

If we got that, you'd get much of what has already been discussed in one form or another.

If your the parent you should stop your child from running like a lunatic and climbing on everything, running between people and hitting them.

There's a difference between reckless and freedom. A child that's loud with laughter and running around not into people is not a problem. The child who's yelling and not apologizing when he runs in front of a stroller is.

Japan is still like that, that's why it's clean. Perhap's if more people didn't have a "me" attitude, perhap's if more people knew how to use a trash can, you wouldn't have those problems.

Maybe make the whole thing a giant ant hill and do a Honey I Shurnk The Themepark.

Does anyone know anything about the theme park of which I speak? Today the very indoor park is now the CNN Center. Only the world's longest and highest Escalotor remains. It is the start of the tour of the CNN Center.

I have to agree with Avromarks post and the others.

The problem is this: Parents today want to be their child's buddy or friend. They don't want to discipline or take responsibility for their kids. I on the other hand came to realize this when my first child was around 2 1/2. Children need parents. It's plain and simple. My chlidren are among the best behaved I see. Sometimes, when I see another large family, I again see well behaved children in that one too. Oh its no secret, I am NOT saying large families are the key, but I AM saying that once you have that 4th or so child, you just don't have time for the BullS%$#@. I love my children and they love me. I would die for any one of them to save them without hesitation. Never has a parent been more devoted to their children than me to mine.

    However, the key is this:

The greatest gift you can give your child is to teach them the meaning of the word, "NO" . This does not include saying NO five or six times for the repeated offense. The worst thing I see is (and my wife and I openly laugh when we hear other parents say it) "If you do that one more time I will..." ROFL yeah...riiiight. I could go on and on, but there is one thing I pull no punches on and have a great deal of confidence in, and that is my parenting skills.

Ie. One child "pretending" to be someone else comically (not impersination per say but wanting to be you and you him), or acting out being Buzz Lightyear is cute.

However Hearing yelling and "I want it, I want it, I want it is not"

Unfortunately Disney has to cater to everyone not the "ideal" person. Disney should not have to hire additional janitors, when if people respect the park, those people could be ride-ops, or Quartets, etc.

Price Gouging is more exceptable if theirs a little show behind it (ie the Coke Shooters), seeing the smile on a child is worth a bit of extra money. However out and out gouging makes you feel used.

I'd love to see more old fashioned whimsy and more cunning jokes in rides. I do not like the brass out and out it's so obvious this is when you're supposed to laugh humour.

I'd love to see more of elements like picking up a phone and hearing a conversation between toons. Unfortuneatly those effects sometimes break and cost more, but those things makes magical moments. Like who wouldn't want to sit in scrooge Mcducks car (instead of benchs) and hear scrooge complain??

Question for DVD dad.. and to all...
Our kids are grown up now... but for us we always were a little bit annoyed when Disney would tone down it's rides because of parents complaints that their kids were scared or something to that effect... We always felt that if the kids had to wait to be a little older to appreciate the ride , then they would wait till then instead of ruining the ride to accomadate the little ones... how does everyone else feel about this...

That's because it's 'ME' time for them....a concept that seems to have caught on- where you get to pretend you're not a parent for a while..go figure....
and potentially the driving force behind one playground we recently received
