Please send e-mails to the above address. Mr. Garner is in charge of programming at the Disney Channel. Let him know we want the Mickey Mouse Club, Zorro, Disneyland, Walt Disney Presents, Wonderful World of Color/Disney, Ink and Paint Club, Disney Family Album, People and Places and the wonderful vintage Disney movies. Please tell your friends and don't let up until they comply with us. I know I for one want to watch the wonderful shows I grew up with and let my kids see them as well.

By DAVID BAUDER AP Television Writer

NEW YORK Mar 23, 2006 (AP)— Fans of television comedy are stuck in a time warp.

TV viewers are watching more sitcoms each week than they did a decade ago, a new study concluded. Unfortunately for broadcast networks, they're tuning in to "Friends," "Seinfeld" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" reruns more than anything new on the air.

As network executives spend early spring behind closed doors plotting their fall schedules, the statistics starkly illustrate how these programmers are forced to compete against the best of the last 30 years when developing new comedies.

"The viewers say we're not going to tolerate mediocrity anymore because we've got the classics and there's a lot of competition out there," said NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly on Thursday.

But Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond recently concluded their runs. Seinfeld is still hip and very funny. I'd rather watch my classic Disney on dvd.

If they can show CCBB and Willy Wonka and Harry Potter 100 times a year why can't they show classic movies like Mary Poppins which came out about 4 years before CCBB at least on the ABC Family Channel?

Email the ABC Family Channel and demand that they show classic Disney movies like Mary Poppins, Swiss Family, The Love Bug etc. if they won't show it on the Disney Channel.

Iger has no excuse because ABC family will show older classic movies from other movie studios, but they will rarely show classic Disney movies. Call Iger on this and don't let him get away with it and have a nice Disney day!

Who wants to watch movies on commercial television anyway -- there's so many breaks anymore that it's too painful to sit through an entire movie on tv.

And I second the "buy them on DVD" cry. That first group of "Vault Disney" DVD's (Pollyanna, Swiss Family, Parent Trap, and one other?) are some of the best DVDs I own. The special features are mind-blowing. THAT is the support we need to show - buying good DVDs - so they'll make more.
