But for some right winger to chime in and claim that FOX is somehow "better"? Only a tool would say that.

In addition, putting a harmless insect into the box with Zubaydah, who "appears to have a fear of insects," and telling him it is a stinging insect would be allowed, as long as Zubaydah was informed the insect's sting would not be fatal or cause severe pain. "If, however, you were to place the insect in the box without informing him that you are doing so ... you should not affirmatively lead him to believe that any insect is present which has a sting that could produce severe pain or suffering or even cause his death," the memo said.

I like the NewsHour because they tend to present both sides of an arguement. I find it not that biased at all, and generally enjoy hearing both (sane) sides of the argument. I like the banter between Shields & Brooks, and I love when Gwen Ifil fills in. I also like Washington Week. They tend to not sensationalize thing. However, I can see how somebody who is extremely conservative would think they are biased, only because they may not agree with everything they say. So, yeah, anything not agreeing with the extremist viewpoint is labled as biased or "MSM"...

Doug needs to admit that a lot of the responsibility falls on the last administration for chasing away a lot of conservatives, not people on this forum. Besides, it's this way all over the country, not just this forum.

I agree it's one of the least biased news shows out there, but it does lean slightly left. It's not surprising that many liberals don't see it. After all, when you're way liberal, everything is right.

Their policies seem about the same now as they were in the 80's when I first signed up. Sure, we've had some poor representatives over the years, and some who have taken things to far or said some stupid things, but I don't see where the Democrats have been any better, and I still believe in the principals of the GOP, smaller government, more individual freedom and responsibility, free markets, a strong defense, and a respect for religion and tradition. I truly believe that's the best recipe to bring the greatest good to everyone.

Then you can live your entire life consequences-free. free markets ... but not for Mexicans. a strong defense ... none available because the military's resources were stretched to the breaking point by the Iraq war. The ONLY principals the GOP seem to have now is "recklessly cut taxes, and oppose everything Obama does, beginning with, and including, his getting out of bed each morning." Other principles they have recently abandoned include fiscal responsibility, good faith dealings (see: wringing concessions from Obama and then voting no anyway), independent thought, preserving and protecting the Constitution, and ... not lying to our faces. They are so laser-focused on getting back in power BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY that they have become parodies of themselves, and are proving to be absolutely worthless at a time when some of Douglas's GOP principles might come in particularly useful. They really are pond scum. And if it weren't for the noise machine, I think their supporters would've recognized their hypocrisy and replaced them with decent people worthy of a leadership role by now.
