That said, the series strikes me as an interesting idea poorly executed.     I am still reading Grapes of Wrath but I am taking a break from it and reading a book called "The Jane Austen Book Club", some light fiction that is making me want to re-read Austen. I also just finished "Close Range" by Annie Prolux, short stories taking place in Wyiming. The book included the store "Brokeback Mountain".
