Ignoring all of the controversy surrounding it...it's just not that good. I figured out the plot pretty early on. I can't believe that anyone would think this book was the truth or that it would cause people to doubt their faith in Christ. I think the only reason I continued reading the book was to find out what Sophie witnessed her grandfather doing that had caused her to shut him out of her life for 10 years. What a let down *that* revelation was. :-(
