It'll take a while for me. But I know I'll love every page. I have so many others I should be reading but they'll just have to wait.

Those of you who've read "Water for Elephants" what did you think of it? I have gotten mixed messages on it. It should be my next book.

I loved "Kite Runner" from beginning to end. But then, too, that is one of those books where you either really liked it or you didn't. I've had so many people tell me it was one of the best books they've ever read and just as many tell me they couldn't get into it.
Kinda like Ayn Rand's "Fountainhead". Same thing. I get just as many nae's as yae's. And I can't quite decide if I want to embark on such a lengthy book. I know once I start it I will make myself finish-like it or not.

I liked it. Made me feel a little better about aging, oddly enough.

Here's an LP Book Club thread discussing it (discussion starts at post #153):

I just finished reading "World Without End" by Ken Follett. I don't know what I will read next.

Ah, I see now. I'm thinking you're probably familiar with the various "Twi-hard" sites then. <g>

I am trying to read "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle but haven't gotten too far. I keep falling asleep which is more because I am reading it in bed at night than the content.

I'm actually a little sceptical about this book's title. I mean, Mark Twain wrote an awful lot of stories--can you really fit them all in one book?

This is the first biography I have ever read and I had a had time choosing one. I have not gotten very far in it and have been picking up other books. That's not a good sign but my life is hectic now too. I will report again when I have read more.

Currently reading for silliness: The BOOK of General Ignorance by John Lloyd and John Mitchinson. I really like it. It is about common misconceptions most of us have and the real facts. Like, the tallest mountain in the world is actually in Hawaii, it's not the highest because most of it is below seas level.

Must be related to one of my dogs, lol.

I'm reading The Dante Club for my book club. It's a little slow, but the author is building the story. I'll stick it out since I *have* to read it.

I keep falling asleep while trying to read this in bed at night. I have insomnia so falling asleep is great...not being able to enjoy any books is kind of the downside. I'm very intrigued by the idea of 2 millions Jews living in Alaska (since I used to live there) but I haven't read enough of it to get hooked yet.
