Still, my two cents' worth: Enjoyable, but light-weight. The vampire elements won't seem terribly original to anybody who's read Stoker and Rice. The romance elements are a bit too overwrought (verging on hysterical) for my taste. I did enjoy the descriptions of Washington State. Also, the vampires' baseball game was clever, though I have the feeling I've come across something like it before, and I just can't think where--actually, I get that feeling about most of the book.

RMM, I couldn't agree more about the Dan Brown books. I really enjoyed A&D but was completely annoyed by DC. He had enough going on for a story, why bog the book down with all the "accused of a murder he didn't commit" nonsense, with all the police chases that entails. It made the book a real chore to finish. Rereading Harry Potter to prepares for the new movie this Summer. Can't find Sorcerer's Stone, so I'm starting with Chamber of Secrets. Was reading Stephen King's Hearts in Atlantis, but I think I burned out on SK after reading several of his books earlier this year. Shame too because I usually pick up The Stand this time of year and I think I missed the last year or 2.
