The only movie that comes immediately to mind is "That Sinking Feeling" which was the first movie by the director of two of my favorites, "Gregory's Girl" and "Local Hero" (and while those two are already on DVD I would gladly part money for deluxe editions with commentary tracks, making-of docmentaries, etc.) There are already more TV series available that I want than I have time or money to keep up with, so I'll pass on that question.
