The opening set up w/Aerosmith? Walking out into the alley for your "really fast car" and is nightime in LA (even though it was just noon-time in O-Town)... You don't call this detailed themeing?! WOW.

The preshow is a simple screen. Not really detailed.

The alleyway is pretty decent, but that's BEFORE the ride. It follows the recent Disney tradition of build a good queue with decent-to-great theming, and then building a barebones, uninteresting ride. For more examples, see Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids.

Just a matter of definitions. I consider both Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion to be part of the show from the time you enter the building. Why do I not feel that way about Rockin' Roller Coaster? Not really sure.

I really liked the Muppetts pre-show the first dozen times I saw it, but now it seems just as stale as the old Star Tours seemed.

Had this list included EPCOT Center now defunct attractions, the list would change incredibly! I'd add Horizons, Motion, Imagination to the list...

    3rd most over-rated WDW attraction.

    My opinion

I think the set is very detailed... I like all the 70's touches... the Lava Lamps, vintage guitars, etc. I think they also do a very good job of integrating the film with the set. I think putting live action into the show with "Chris" getting the Les Paul for Joe Perry really added to it. I tried to figure out for years if he was part of the film or not. I finally decided that he was part of the film. Soon after I read that it was a live Disney Castmember.

I've have been that queue w/ people talking back to that "simple screen" like it was Rocky Horror. Also the CM participating added another demension... Nice set up to one of the best indoor coasters in O-town.

And? Just because there are CMs or locals there ruining the show for the others doesn't make it a great preshow.

<<one of the best indoor coasters in O-town.>>

It's not hard to be one of the best of something when there's only 4 to begin with. Haha

I love Tower of Terror... I think it is the best attraction at WDW. But how is the Library pre-show anything other than a "simple screen"?

But when I approached the question asking myself which are the attractions which I would be really sad to miss when I am WDW, things became a bit clearer:

    1. Tower of Terror
    2. World Showcase (or if I only can have one pavilion: Japan)
    3. Splash Mountain
    4. Expedition Everest
    5. Soarin
    6. Illuminations
    7. Wishes (or better: fireworks at the MK just in general)
    8. Streetmosphere at DHS
    9. Maharaja Jungle Trek
    10. TTA
