It follows the recent Disney tradition of build a good queue with decent-to-great theming, and then building a barebones, uninteresting ride. For more examples, see Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids.

I consider both Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion to be part of the show from the time you enter the building. Why do I not feel that way about Rockin' Roller Coaster? Not really sure. I really liked the Muppetts pre-show the first dozen times I saw it, but now it seems just as stale as the old Star Tours seemed.

The final product is a shell of what was originally planned for a mgm rock n roll coaster experience. Granted blue sky. Still no excuse for superficial final product/theme. 3rd most over-rated WDW attraction. My opinion

I like all the 70's touches... the Lava Lamps, vintage guitars, etc. I think they also do a very good job of integrating the film with the set. I think putting live action into the show with "Chris" getting the Les Paul for Joe Perry really added to it. I tried to figure out for years if he was part of the film or not. I finally decided that he was part of the film. Soon after I read that it was a live Disney Castmember.

Just because there are CMs or locals there ruining the show for the others doesn't make it a great preshow. <<one of the best indoor coasters in O-town.>> It's not hard to be one of the best of something when there's only 4 to begin with. Haha
