    Space Mountain is too rough.
Rock & Roller is too short.
Everest made my list because of the great show building (the mountain) and queue.

Big Thunder probably should have made my list based on the setting and the helix. But I kind of stayed away from naming Disney coasters because there are so many really great coasters at parks throughout the U.S. I enjoy a couple of coasters here at home (Wildfire and Powder Keg) more than any of the Disney coasters.

I have no idea why it's so loved. It's just a coaster in the dark, to me.

The ideas and the theme behind it are fantastic, of course... but now..? It's just a aging ruin.

Everest's slow segments occur outside, while speeding through a non-descript mountain interior. BTMR's slow segments occur in detailed mountain scenes, while relegating its fast segments outside.

Everest goes through the motions. BTMR is the real deal. ...And BTMR is just plain out 'fun'.

Everest is too tame for what it should be, the designers botched the placement for the reveal of the Yeti, and they put too much emphasis on the forward/reverse gimmick.

Obviously, this is all my opinion, but Everest's design to BTMR's design is akin to Chuck E Cheese's robot show to CBJ's robot show. Both attempt the same thing, one is an inferior attempt to the other.

Totally agree with you. Expedition Everest is better when it comes to the coaster experience. EE is one of our favorite Disney attractions. The overall theming of BTM, especially in Paris, is better.

Which was an intentional justification for why money did not need to be spent in those areas. To justify the short-cut.

    >>I have a hard enough time catching half the stuff on BTM, which is much slower.<<

Which again was an intentional choice made by the designers on how to provide the best Disney version of a mine coaster possible. How to plus the show, encourage someone to re-ride and spend another ticket so as to catch what they missed the last go-around.

Unless you are looking at it from the parking lot. The red carpet of the movie premiere, the first thing the guest see. In this case, a giant box.

As far as I'm concerned the sense of anticipation that builds as you slowly ascend the mountain on EE is one on Disney's greatest coaster moments, equaled only by the launch sequence on Space Mountain.

I could use a lot of innuendo in saying that after the peak of the lift hill, everything is a big let down. Especially the misplacement and misuse of the Yeti at the finale.
