No it's a Windows 7 based HP Phenom II 8300 Quad-Core processor with 8GB of system memory, and 1 terabyte on the hard drive. I have dyslexic fingers, and this new keyboard is not helping things.

-- When I was young it was a place (DL) where even my parnets didn't fight - as I got older it was a place where young and older family members shared memories- and now with my kids ( 26 and 16 yrs old) - it is a place where they love to go with us - hang out..set off on their own for a while- meet up later- dine together etc...and the last 5+ years a place where my sister and BIL and nieces join us and everyone has a great time.

I know there is no such thing as pixie dust - yet somehow this always is the case for us--one trip better than the last..
I think it is because WDW offers a sensory escape from a major city lke Chicago - a mental escape from working for a corporate giant - a break from the academic rigors and sports focus for my kids--etc.... yes we know it will end on day 9 or 11 or whatever- but for a short period of time you are sheltered from a lot. Over time I have been able to block out most of the parents screaming at their kids to have fun while they are crying over something - even able to overlook some maintenance lapses ( doesn't make me any happier about them ) - and turn a blind eye to the fact it takes a small fortune for most to visit the land of the Mouse.

As much as we all wanted to see Potterland this time- after 10 days @ WDW and heading to Vero. The thought of dropping another $700 or so for one day @ Uni for that left us saying we'll go next time when the crowds maybe are down some...still want to do it but it doesn't hold the same allure.
Do I have the exact answer why - nope. And I am not going to look for it either..

No matter how much it seams to cost we still make it happen. It just may take a little longer between visits.

But everyone loved them - so what the hay. I do find myself avoiding buffets ( for lots of reasons- except we do love Boma and Birtgarten) - but trying to do lunch there instead- and dinner at a fixed price sit down. For my oldest she doesn't have 2 weeks of vacation from work yet so it cost her salary as well-- however as she said, I'll find a way to make ends meet until the next check.

Sometimes you just do and don't question why -- and really Disney is one of my few luxuries any more as the Obama recession turning the corner ( otherwise known as the 2nd great depression) - hits all of us. I drive a nice car but the 6 year old jeep my wife drives that I normally would have replaced 3 years ago- it will go for 4 more (I hope)- Abercombie for the kids a thing of the past- funny even they don't want to shop at places like that any more.Souveneirs and collectibles on the trip- I have to blown away to even consider- although the group I was with relly liked vinylmations - God knows why. The chase I suspect more than the product.

I just wonder how long WDW and DLR etc can continue to pack em in when even in my town - which is always listed in the top 3-5 places to live in money magazine-etc.-- and supposed to be immune from the financial crisis is seeing foreclosures- houses not selling - empty strip malls as stores close. When is someone in this country going to admit we have NOT turned any damn corner unless it's down a one way street. And good to know we're borrowing more money...and read today where 42%+ of those restructuring mortgages under the fed plan are dropping out anyway... throwing a few bucks at this is not going to make a difference - hello Washington, is anyone home ? (that applies to both sides of the aisle btw)

I'm a cast member so I get a good discount for the resorts, but you don't always get them for the table service. That is what my DH likes for at lest one meal each day. So we just put a little maore aside each week.($$) No credit card use here. Some people call us resort snobs...I don't mean to be.

As for the financil crisis, Oklahoma didn't get hit as hard as lots of other states. I'm very greatful for that.
