I think I was one of the few that thought the DCA concert series was cool.

And some of the acts just don't have it anymore ... for every Chubby Checker (he was great back in May) there are two acts that either have almost no original members of the group or, almost worse, have lost their ability to perform.

Sounds like my experience taking my mom to see "The Beach Boys" at Epcot--which actually turned out to be "Mike Love and a Back-up Band."

Found it funny to see "The Beach Boys" listed for Universal. I'm guessing it's the Mike Love ruse again.

Really? Just curious - what was so bad? As I said, I've seen them many times over the years and they are consistently great.

It's really too bad when that happens. It worked OK when seeing Three Dog Night, as the lead singers were the big draw even back then. But just one or two original members left from a band where you knew the names of everyone in the band really sucks!

Sounds about right. A friend got tickets to see said Beach Boys on NYE as they were playing the Hard Rock Live here in SoFla ... all I could think of was 'you paid almost $100 a ticket to see a group that almost is not at all the BBs that was playing the Food and Wine Fest a month ago for free?!'
