A few months ago I tried the full size one at Ralphs when they first came out. I did however see too many varieties of Kisses at Wal*Mart - and I wasn't even near the missletoes! But yeah there were was Cherry Cordial? Cookies and Creme, Vanilla and Creme, Dark Chocolate, Almonds, Caramel - sheesh! I wanted to grab one of each to hand out, but there were no variety bags of Kisses. Oh, but there was a sign saying, "More candy in the Garden Area". Me: "Ooh ok, kewl!" So I let my friend know I was going to be over there. I'm about a yard away from entering the area - it was almost packed. I thought I was in Disneyland. It was a lot of fun handing out candy tonight though, haven't done this before - where people actually show up at your door. And actually having candy to give out to them. I do recall seeing a darling little girl wearing a beautiful blue Cinderella outfit. I complimented how lovely she looked and was more than happy to give her some candy. Everything of course we got were minis. We grabbed a variety bag of Reese's goodies, had some Babe Ruth's in there, Butterfingers, Starbursts, Twixes, Kisses I think (Dark Chocolate and Caramel - but original is the best), some Pay Days (no I didn't hand out money!), Heath Bars and mmmmmmmm.... Ande's Mints, which came in Christmassy decorative wrappers - one with a Christmas tree on it too. Speaking of which, the holiday season is just around the corner! Folks, you can get away with waiting til the last minute to go out and buy candy to pass out on Halloween, but not a risk you wanna take for Christmas shopping - do it before the day after Thanksgiving!!!

Last night we had MANY more trick or treaters than we've had the past few years. Lots of little ones. As the bowl was being emptied I started getting panicky, not that we wouldn't have enough but that there wouldn't be any left overs for me I ended up making a pumpkin "cobbler" that came in a box/mix and tasted great when I sampled it at a Harvest Festival. I should have stuck with my stash of candy
