I jerked a tear in the late 70's version of "The Champ" with John Voight and Ricky Schroder when the lil boy goes to visit his dad in jail, Billy Flynn's best attempt to make his son go with his birth mom [knowing she could care better for him] was to get angry at lil T.J. and lie saying he didn't want him anymore and how is is just a hassle anyway and gets in his way. T.J denies it but cries and goes away to eventually live with the rich lady, then Billy Flynn pounds the concrete walls with his fists in frustration of what he just had to do. THEN I full on shed big baby tears at the end when Billy Flynn died after his big comeback fight and T.J is crying for him to come back alive saying "wake up" then screaming "I want the Champ, I want the Champ"

I hope my DD doesn't ever read this because she caught me tearing up at one of her favorite movies the first time we saw it at the theater and I've since denied it [but truth is...she was correct] It was "I am Sam" with Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning. I don't remember exactly which part it was but the main story of a mentally challenged father fighting for the right to be with his daughter whom he loved dearly was enough to get my emotions flowing.

Okay, nobody laugh but Mary Poppins makes me tear up somethin awful. Its the Feed The Birds part and then when Mary leaves that get me the worst. My kids totally laugh at me for being such a softie when it comes to movies. They are heartless I tell ya, heartless!

Okay, here's another don't laugh one - the INTRO to The Incredibles. You know, its the part where ElastiGirl is being interviewed and she says, "ELASTIGIRL

"Settle down? Are you kidding? I'm at the top of my game!
I'm right up there with the big dogs! Girls, come on. Leave the saving of the
world to the men? I don't think so. I don't think so. "

and then her voice gets all far away and the look on her face. Oh, the angst, the internal conflict of wanting to be a superhero and superwife/supermom, the dreams of her heart and the yearning for both, the desires, the passion, the compromise. I just so understand and relate that it makes me tear up.

OK, I haven't seen the new Kong, because I KNOW I will get all sad and mushy at the end (I always felt so bad for the big ape in the other versions)
