By the time people may have noticed the skull, they were already plunging down the drop. I never really liked where they placed it in the ride, but I wish they would bring it back somewhere in the caverns as it is an iconic Pirates of the Caribbean effect.

I know that many attractions had no surveillance system until relatively recently, so that could have been around the time that they were doing the updates. Have you ever recorded another night vision camera? I wonder if it does strange things like that. It's really weird how obvious it is with the camera, but it's not there at all in person.
