As someone said earlier, it is down 8% and if the Republicans manage to extend tax breaks to millionaires the deficit will increase by $4.4 trillion (see link below). Huh, I wonder whose plan is better?

Oh, and when you consider that the deficit would have been much higher had Bush actually accounted for his wars in the budget the "Obama grew the deficit" argument isn't quite as impressive...he just stopped hiding the numbers.

Here is a link to the article I referenced above:

Here are links to some graphs...pay very close attention to them Donny (and anyone else who thinks we should go back to the Republican model of doing business.

    You have to keep trying.

Way too many people think that the FY 2009 deficit was all Obama when in reality 90% of it was bush.

Way too many people think that Obama is the one that bailed out wall street.

Way too many people thing that Obama has raised taxes.

You are not going to convince Donny... some people will not look at the facts when it contridicts their beliefs.

But for every person that posts here their are 10s if not 100s that lurk.

You might convince some of them to look at the actual facts.

I personally did around 2004... I realized I could look up the facts myself instead of relying on what I heard.

That must be why we saw them protesting the Bush administration and calling him a socialist.

Yeah, it must be just a coincidence that this "party" of "fiscal responsibility" didn't appear until just after the black guy was elected. But that couldn't have anything to do with it...could it??

Fiscal responsibility? Where were you 10 years ago when we had 3 tax cuts that added trillions to the debt. 2 wars that added another trillion or 2 to the debt. Unfunded medicare part d.

    <a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a5/CBO_Forecast_Changes_for_2009-2012.png" target="_blank">http://upload.wikimedia.org/wi...2012.png</a>

6 deficits out of his 8 years that were bigger then any previous.

4 years when income receipts were less then the year before. ( last time that happened was once during the 70s )

The more then doubling of the defense budget.

More tax cuts when we have record deficits.

    <<,limited Government,>>

Patriot act, Arizona law, gay marriage, anti-abortion, don't ask...

Tea partiers support all these government insrusions into our lifes.

    <<a Free Market>>

A free market lead us to the financial collapse.

A free market lead to the BP spill.

A free market is sending our jobs overseas.

Tea Partiers claim that the free market will self regulate.

We have seen that not to be the case.

There is one graph in particular I would like your take on and it the one that lists personal income growth by income bracket under Dem and Repub leadership since 1948. Please take a look and explain to me, based on that information, why I should vote for your guys.

    <<Shudders.

I haven't had one of those since March, 1997. With good reason. In Phoenix during Spring Training, I drank about a half bottle of Southern Comfort to start the day (mixed with orange juice,it's pretty good) that day, 10, 11, 12 or whatever Long Islands in the afternoon to evening, then ended the evening (early morning maybe) throwing empty beer bottles off a hotel balcony.

Impressive, no? Of course not. But it happened.
