I thought that Soarin', the Mondavi Vineyard, Screamin', Grizzly River Run, California Dreams and the Animation Building were all extremely well done. I even enjoyed the Mission Tortilla and Boudin Bakery Tours for the "old Epcot" feel they had. I even enjoyed the fact that Muppets and Tough to be a Bug were there... since I gave up my usual annual visit to WDW to go to Disneyland, it was nice feeling that between DL and DCA I was still able to experience many of my favorite attractions from WDW's parks. I especially appreciated that I seemed to be in a park not primarily geared to 5-12 year old children. It felt like an "adult park" and I found that to be quite refreshing.

All these rides do involve working entirely in a building devoid of any sunlight filtering in, and require artificial lighting to see anything.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "Space Mountain and Rock and Roller Coaster are DARK RIDES???" Actually if you think about it they are. There's no narrative, but most non-Disney dark rides don't have a story line either. The Paris version of Space Mountain even has black lit props throughout the ride.

I love Dak, it's a beautiful park and i was suprised how much i liked it with little attractions. I also agree Epcot is WDW'S best and they have few attractions too. I guess i dont care much for the other 2 parks because the Westcoast does those 2 parks much better. I really doubt that DCA will fail again. I think in the last few years it wouldnt even fit under the failure category. With the additions of TSMM, WOC and all the night time parties added i think we all have noticed how much busier DCA has become. Now with BVS and CL how could they go wrong?

As one of those fanatics with an emotional attachment to Disneyland, there is a second gate I love more than Disneyland. You can guess which one it is.

Use shade cloth like they do on the fences around the park to coverup/hid the stairs. Or have the vinyl covering that they used on main street when remodeling. Or the fake forest wrap they use to have on the indy building.

I don't think ANYONE thought it would be more popular than Disneyland Park over the long term.

"Animal Kingdom has no dark rides... they are not ESSENTIAL to a Disney Park. That is why DCA 1.0 was so poorly received... the locals were looking for DL Junior. Think OUTSIDE the box!" Fair enough. How about the park still needs a few C-ticket attractions with the charm of the dark rides? "I think it is WDW's second best park following Epcot." I agree. I love Animal Kingdom.
