It's not the truth, as I have clearly told you that I completely understand everything that has been said. Jon is right, it's just a convenient way for you to dole out personal insults from the top of your high horse.

If you feel insulted, it's only because you want to be.** Of course you would say that, but it was never true. I started the threads with the intention of bringing to light some of the more startling facts about the catholic church and the child rape scandal. God had nothing to do with it (nor even "people who believe in god"...I mentioned VERY early on that I had no problem with regular catholics, but only with the hierarchy and its corruption). What a stupid thing for you to say.

Not too many people have bothered chiming in for their benefit (I don't say noone, but certainly the focus is more on "how dare you attack our religion!?").

And that is what the guy in the article had to say, too. There is very little compassion or solidarity for the victims.

It can't be supported. It's morally wrong to do so. Anyway, some other people have chimed in as well, with very well written posts touching on many other aspects of this debate. They were summarily ignored. Most likely so the angry mob could keep the issue between them and "those two kooks, who are so very obtuse they can't even COMPREHEND the pertinent points about why it's important to remain a catholic no matter what". Well done!
