Even thought I do still have themeing problems, I can't wait to go back to DCA in 2011 after I graduated to hopefully see a new and vibrant park.
Originally Posted By Hans Reinhardt "My answer, absolutley. All Disney parks have a DEFINITE icon." Really? What's the icon at DSP? What's the definitive icon at the Disney Studios park in Orlando? And again, what's the icon at DCA? I don't think that all Disney parks have a singular icon, nor do I think it's mandatory that they do.

Originally it was a combination of the water tower and the Chinese Theater, but the hat seemed to take it pretty easily from both. I'm not entirely sure what WDSP would use, but I would guess that it might be Tower of Terror. Although it didn't open with the rest of the park, it is right there in the center and acts as a big weenie for the place, even when you're not inside the park itself. Other than that, maybe the Partners statue, but that's not really a great icon for a park. DCA seems to have that same problem, with an endless battle between PP, GRR, TOT, and the Sun Icon. And isn't it interesting that all of the parks that we're talking about seem to have a hard time getting a great reaction out of the public? I would say that the WDW Studios has done the best with that, with several must-do attractions, but all these parks have a very "half-day" feel to them. Interesting conindidence, if nothing else.
Originally Posted By Hans Reinhardt "I would say that the Studios in WDW's icon is definatley the stupid hat." Which proves the point that such icons are really pointless, especially when forced like the "stupid hat" at DHS. I actually find it kind ironic that in television ads Disney interchanges the DL and WDW castles, and sometimes even uses a CGI version that incorporates architectural features from both. Apparently the public can't distinguish one castle from the other.

Prometheus--Disney Sea 2) Le Chateau Belle--Paris 3) Tree of Life--Animal Kingdom 4) Grizzly Peak--DCA 5) Aquasphere--Disney Sea 6) Geosphere--EPCOT 7) Cinderella Castle--Tokyo/Magic Kingdom 8) Sleeping Beauty Castle--DLR/HKDL 9) Earful Tower--MGM 10) Cali Screamin--DCA 11) BAH--MGM 12) Sun--DCA ***WDSP really doesn't have one(or if it does I sure didn't notice when I was there)***
