The operators don't seem to know; I'm surprised that they don't since I assume they'd be the ones responsible for checking oil levels and such whenever necessary. I know the engine is actually in the tender and the locomotive is just along for the ride. It sounds like the sort of industrial engine you'd find on construction equipment.
