I'd take SeaTac over Portland any day. Maybe it's just a locals thing, I live between LAX and Ontario CA airports, I hate LAX, it's the most outdated inconvenient airport, you'd think that a major city like Los Angeles would have a better airport.

Coming HOME is another story altogether. I have been to DL 8 times this year. All 8 times, no joke, the baggage carousel they say the bags are coming down is WRONG. That, and how long it flippin' takes to GET your bags. The longest I have waited this year so far was an hour and a half. On a normal day when it's not even busy the wait is no less than 30-40 minutes. The times I love Sea-Tac are when I don't check any bags, but nowadays it's pretty much unavoidable. Oh, side note, the hour and a half wait was BEFORE the "no liquids in your bags" time, so it wasn't like there was an excess of bags on the plane of something. Oh yeah, one more thing, when you get picked up at baggage claim that is also the only place around the whole airport you can smoke, so there's that gross factor there too. Yes, I could get picked up in departing versus arriving, but I usually have too much crap with me to lug it all the way upstairs to wait there...... << I hate LAX, it's the most outdated inconvenient airport, you'd think that a major city like Los Angeles would have a better airport.>> AMEN!!! The only way I would fly into LAX is if someone paid for me to fly there. I always thought LAX was some glamourous place that all of the stars fly into, until I saw it for myself.
