I'm really sick of the whole Brad/Jen/Angelina stuff so I didn't intend to go and see this movie but on that day and at that moment it was the best available. I really liked the movie. I got past being annoyed with them after a few minutes and the movie carried me away. Fun ;)

We went to this movie because I wanted to go to this theater to check it out. I enjoyed just being in the theater and the movie was great, I was sick of seeing Katie Holmes face from the tabloids/TV but she's not in it all that much. Great set up for another movie. I'd see it again.

First time viewing. Nice movie to sit and watch and we enjoyed it very much. DD18 saw it in the theater and said we'd like it but was glad we didn't watch it with her :) Some scenes NOT for kids.

DH said lets go see a movie, it was 9:45p.m. and the movie started at 10:20 so off we went. Today was it's opening day too. The theatre was packed but we got to sit in the lower middle rows so I got to prop my ankle up on the hand rail thingy. Made it much more tolerable to sit for that long.

It was awesome! I loved the sound effects and some of the special effects in it were just very cool. There is one scene with a burning train that is wonderful. A few jumpy parts and I must say I think this is one of Tom Cruise's best movies. He played his part to the nines and Dakota Fanning was wonderful as well, although I could have done without all the screaming she did. That little girl has a great pair of lungs thats for sure.

    Top notch movie.

I'm such a vulgarian. This is regarded as a classic screwball comedy, but I didn't get the humor. Was it that I'm rigid and can't relate to black and white film or to stylized acting? that the comedy dealt with too serious a matter for me to be amused? that it just wasn't very funny? I don't know.

I did enjoy watching Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. I was fascinated by the sexism, which was unapologetically played for laughs, and surprised at how raw a 1940 film was in terms of subject matter.

I think I need to watch it again. For one thing, there's a lot of overlapping dialogue and yelling, and the soundtrack isn't very clear. I'm sure I missed some lines.

Awesome movie! The special effects were really great. It was one of those movies where you leave saying "That was messed up. Can you imagine?" I thought Tom Cruise was very good and Dakota Fanning was as well. Like DF said, she does alot of screaming though.

Ok movie. Pure action spectical... may be a good or bad thing depending on what you're looking for. I gave a longer review in the Gen Entertainment section so if you wanna hear more check there.

While it is a bit corny in spots the production design is great. I love the giant ombu tree set. It is great to look at and The acting is good and fun.

I was very moved by this film because a very dear friend of mine... who is more like a sister... is currently suffering from the acute stage of OCD. Leonardo did a fabulous job. Very well done.

Great action flick, but not much substance. But, it's not supposed to be much more than that anyway. I'm a big wuss so I was terrified thru most of the movie, lol.

Back in the 7-0's when I became enoamored of movies I had memorized all of the Academy Awards up until the cuurent year. I knew abou Mrs. Miniver and all the awards it had one but never sae until last night. It was very good though not quite what I expected. It was much more light hearted (well the first 2/3) than I had anticipated. The acting was all good and there was one surprise that was completely unexpected. A bit of propaganda works its way in as the film progresses. Mrs Garson was quite good. I have a crush on Ricahr Ney. Oh well.

I am not a Russel Crowe fan at all but he was very good in this. I also can't stand it when charachters look at the camera and speak to the audience but this seemed to work pretty good in this movie. This was a good and effective movie. Much better than I expected. Somewhat manipulative with no huge plot it simply was fun to watch and had me laughing out loud.

This is one of those movies that has always struck me as one of THE BEST I have ever seen and could watch it over and over.

The most powerful scene in this movie was at the end, The lady is holding her daughter, walking down a street in a foreign country then all you here is "flap, flap, flap" she rounds the corner and between the trees you see the American flag. She fought her way to come home with her daughter.

I was crying so hard and at that point so very proud and honored to be an American. It was based on a true story and it is one I think everyone should see.
