Funny, cute, enough nostalgia, some cameos. I'd see it again

I love this movie and was HORRIFIED when my sister said she didn't own it. Then yesterday we were at WalMart and they had it on sale so she bought it.

Everyone did opposite of what some one told them to do or no one listened to anything anyone else said. Everyone was so irritating. Some of the movie was quite terrifying, in particular the loud sound/call the tripods made. Some of the fleeing population scenes were devistating as well. I am not a Tom Cruise fan at all and I thought he was great. I am a big Stevem Spielberg fan and I think this was his worst.

Especially loved seeing milk bottles sitting outside the castle gates when Jennifery Connally & her friends. Jim Heson was a genius. I'm still sad that he died so very, very young.

It had alot of history reguarding why Willy became the chocolate mogual (sp) as well as adding in charlies dad! It took us to the oompa loompa land. the movie had alot of character, hilarious sceens and just a great family adventure. 5 stars would be my vote.
