These were 2 of Hitchcock's that I'd never seen before, and this was the only weekend I could see any of the Hitchcock series since I usually work weekends; Mom had never seen 'em either and wanted to, so she came up. Very good movies. Joseph Cotten as "Uncle Charlie" in "Shadow" played his role with razor-thin villainy, which was perfect. And "Lifeboat" was an hour in a half on a little boat in the ocean---but nary a slow moment in sight. Very wonderfully done.

And my first black & white movies in a theatre---purty cool.

Just makes me love Hitchcock more and more...

Ditto DreamFairy's comments... FABulous movie! FIVE Stars+ I plan to see it again in the theater, which is something I never do.

OMG...I always rank "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" as my 2nd and 3rd Disney movies under the crown "Sleeping Beauty" in my list o' faves, but I forgot *just* *how* *much* I love it; I guess it'd been a few years.

I was blown away by the beautiful animation, graceful, powerful, comedic, and elegant movements, and the excellent composition choices for the "programme" (that's a shout-out to our British friends here, lol). But seriously, yeah...makes me appreciate even more that I found John Culhane's "Walt Disney's Fantasia" big fancy hardback book at a used/rare trade bookstore recently. And so many times while watchin' it I'd say, "OMG, that's beautiful/awesome/so cool" (choose appropriate adjective", or "OMG, I forgot about that!"

I'm gonna watch this again tonight, and I'd love to start a discussion on each section on the "Animated Films" board...

I *adored* this movie. Depp was fantastic... I have yet to see a bad movie with him in it. I didn't like the Oompa Loompa songs though. I'm definitely getting this when it comes out on DVD.

Love this film! Definitely shows its 25 years, especially regarding the office environment (no cubicles, computers, digital phones, etc) and Dabney Coleman's overt sexual harassment. But with Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Jane Fonda, you can't go wrong! And I still love Dolly's catchy title song!

Favorite line: "I'm no fool... I've killed the boss! You think they're not going to fire me for a thing like that?"

OK.. my kids ( 6 and 7 ) for some reason LOVE watching this. You can watch an episode in about 24 minutes so the stories are easy for them to hang with to the end and there are good messages also... as we all know from watching this series over the years.

If you have kids, get this for them. You will be amazed at how this show from the 70's still works today!

I just got season # 2 yesterday and we are all set for a huge weekend. :)

This movie is actually pretty good and quite funny. The plot veers away from what you see in the previews. We were surprised we liked it so much. Several shots of naked boobies though so beware if kids want to see it with you. Personally I think the shots are unnecessary but that's me.

I really love John Travolta. Cedric and Uma were good too. Some good character acting by others but only an *ok* movie. Much rather would've seen that Bob movie Wendebird is so crazy about but maybe next weekend.

This turned out to be a pretty decent movie... Kind of a cross between the Matrix, The Excorcist and Dogma... An interesting combination...

Funny movie... I didn't really notice anything different from the original version, but then again, it's been a while since I had seen it...

I was in the mood to watch this movie again for whatever reason... I like it. I always like the combo of action and comedy... That, and cool special effects...

I was also in the mood to watch this movie again... Great acting and I love the stories and the way they all kind of intertwine...

    Mt. Dew & Starbursts

I loved it! I loved Willy Wonkas entrance and the Oompa Loompa songs... I went out afterwards and bought the soundtrack! Definitely a good Danny Elfman soundtrack (like there is a bad Elfman soundtrack?)... I liked Depp's Wonka, but I think I would have to give the nod to Wilder's Wonka as the one I liked better... But I definitely enjoyed both versions... Definitely recommended!

It's only a flesh wound! :) I hadn't seen this movie in quite a while and it sounded good, so I had to say hi to the knights who say Ni! Now, where am I going to find a shrubbery at 9:30 at night? ;)
