Very good movie one of the best I've seen this year. Sadly it kind of confirmed my belief that all of us have prejudices against people of other races.

Saw this on our local opening night with my bestest fri3end in the whole wide world, John - also the guy I lived with for eons before meeting Eric - anyhow, liked it a LOT - wish the songs had been a bit catchier, but boy oh BOY I loved it! And, it was cool seeing it on opening night with John, as he & I saw NBC on opening night together. :) Eric, OTOH, doens't like NBC too much and actually decided to SKIP seeing this movie with us! EEK!

And right now, just got home from...

    Serenity
    theatre
    Diet Coke

    M
    G
    !
This movie was great - don't want to give anything away, but I am SOOO glad Eric got the DVDs and had me watch Firefly with him. Great tv series, and I really liked this movie a lot.

Good hour-long "movie". But boy, Peter Lorre sure ain't as likeable in this as he is in "20,000 Leagues"!

I heart Russell Crowe but don't like violent movies so when I saw this was going to be on TBS I said yay because most of the horribly violent scenes would be sliced from the movie. Sure, it made it choppy and you missed some of the story but it's just easier for me to watch. All that Russelly goodness with no visible decapitations!

What a wonderful movie! It was just beautiful, and it seemed longer than the 73 minute run-time. I almost think I like it better than TNBC.

Went last night with jayna. Man this was the slowest moving movie I have ever seen. Not sure if it was done on purpose or to fill time. But boy oh boy did it move slow. Good story but it sure could have used some work.

Once again, I had low expectations about a comedy with Ben Stiller and once again I was pleasantly surprised. I was laughing a lot during this movie.

    Today:
    The Corpse Bride
    local theater
    popcorn and a Coke

I went with my 10 year old niece, just the 2 of us. We both liked it.

Peeaanut was right. This movie was so slow! I kept waiting for it to pick up and get better. It never did. I really like Viggo, he's a great actor, but I was really disappointed in this one.

I know I'm a little late to the party on this one but I had never seen it before. The kids practically sat on top of me and forced me to watch it this weekend. It turned out to be a decent little movie and I enjoyed it.

I still urge everyone to not go see this. Easily one of the worst of the year and one of the stupidest movies EVER.

I really liked this. It's difficult to explain my feelings on this but I really took a lot from it. I didnt think it moved slowly at all, I felt quite engrossed the whole time. I strongly reccomend this. My only reservations is that this is by far the most violent and gory movie i've seen this year. And I saw House of Wax and Devils Rejects which were both extremly violent and gory. But if you can get past the gore I really think this is worth checking out

The movie is WONDERFUL! (Not a chick flick, hubby liked it, too.) I loved the book and was apprehensive seeing that someone as glamorous as Julianne Moore was playing the main character, but she was fabulous!

It wasn't as bad as I feared. I just went with the flow and enjoyed it for what it was, entertainment.

I am bummed about SG's review of A History of Violence, if he(you are a he, right?) says it's gory then you know it's gory.
