My g/f wanted to see this - it wasn't very good imo and she thought it was just "ok" and wasn't very enthusiastic about it. It has a Garden State feel to it. I guess it's about like trying to figure out life while also having a bizarre love story that seemed to stem from a strange stalkerish relationship between the 2 stars.

Most of the extras were really good.

The original is much better. This version seemed to be let's see how many famous athletes and wrestlers we can put in the film

Pretty good movie. Don't know why it did so badly at the B.O.

Orlando Bloom did quite well in his first real headliner role.

I've read the book and like it. The opening credits were clever, but the film went downhill after that. Pretty lame....pretty lame

I thought it was cool this was comin' on TV as I've seen the the "Fraggle Rock" episode "The Incredible Shrinking Mokey".

Wow, for 1957, these were GREAT special effects!! Such a bad turn for a poor guy, too...I really wish they'd changed the ending, but it *was* a unique ending.

But did they *have* to put those dang scenes in with the 8-legged monster?!?

    *SHIVERS*

sorry, since seeing that movie that has been my new motto. =)

I just saw A History of Violence.
Good movie... but with a weak ending imo. I had my eyes covered a fair number of times due to the gore factor.

Really well done. Captured the era perfectly, especially with the very weird effort lately by some to make Sen. Joe McCarthy into a hero, and just another outstanding performance David Strathairn. I think this one's gonna clean up at Oscar time.

Yep, 'empty nesters' us rented this wonderful little movie to observe the ship. My husband is interested in ships and seeing a still shot while in WDW prompted him to rent the movie to look it over. So worth it. Love the music.
