I think they're locally owned but yet a franchise. Well a couple of weeks ago I saw March Of The Penguins there in their "regular" theater ( they have five or six I think. The seats were larger than normal and reclined. More leg room between the rows and raked REALLY well so you could never have someone else's head blocking your view. The movie I saw yesterday was in the "living room theater", I think there are three of them. Six rows with about twelve seats across all chair bigger than in the other theater, so comfy. Get this, ottomans for everyone, huge arm rests and drink holders. There is also a front row that is all comfy pillows on carpeting to lounge around on. Too close to the screen for me. They have a waiter that comes in to get your order from the consession stand, all the usual with four gourmet butters for your popcorn, or you can have plain butter which is tons better than in any other theater I've been in before. Now this Cinetopia also has a trendy restuaurant and you can order of that menu as well. After 4:30 you need to be over 21 to be in this theater because you can also order a glass of wine or a beer to go enjoy the movie with. They stop taking orders 10 minutes before the movie start so the orders are brought to you on a tray before coming attractions are over. I think it'll be hard for me to se a movie any other way after this experience.

A lot of plot lines just kind of lead nowhere, especially one about a certain name his daughter is called and Cages attempt to fix this(which included a shot more cringe inducing then all of what was in Saw 2 that I saw the night before). The movie also has a really strange obsession with cursing, it was really just random and inexplicable and it was really jarring to hear a lot of obsenities come from Michael Caine.I'm the last person you will find complaining about cursing in any situation but the film just seemd to have a morbid obsession with it and it just really seemed out of place. The movie has some really funny parts and great lines and some good performances from the leads. It was really a waste getting Gore Verbinski for this. For a man who is so great with visuals and establishing mood(As we saw in The Ring and Pirates of the Carribean) his skills seem to be wasted in a straightforward dramedy. It was still overall an ok movie but just extremly flawed. But never boring. Grade: C+

I really enjoyed it last night. Yeah, there are some confusing plot points, but it's a beautiful movie with some good voice acting. It's a fun popcorn action movie. Robots rented on DVD dinner of spaghetti It started out really well. I loved the feeling of the opening moments with his parents, but about 20 minutes in, it started to get the Shreck vibe and tried to be too hip and modern. It was like they didn't know if they wanted the movie to be inspirational and pleasant or funny, hip, and modern. Glad I didn't see it in the theatre.

Now I'll be more nervous when I go in a haunted place, lol. Great film. Poltergeist TCM First time I actually saw all of it. Good, good stuff. LOVED the anthropomorphic tree (I always love those), and I thought of goodgirl and the Inspector during the Evil Clown bit. The Uninvited TCM Roadhouse Chili with cheese mixed in, water Never saw this before...pretty neat ghosty story from 1944. The Haunting TCM Nestle Tollhouse cookies with fun soft Halloween shapes sprinkled on (baked by Yours Truly), milk, water. I was looking forward to this one from 1963, but was more disappointed. I found the lead more annoying than sympathetic and invest-worthy. There were a few good spooky moments, but not nearly enough for the type of film it's billed to be. Garfield's Halloween Adventure From the "Garfield's Holiday Specials" DVD Always loved this since I was 7. Classic Halloween fun with funny Garfield, great music, and fun creepiness (that old man always unnerves me).

But the focus is on the investigation to uncover the facts rather than the actual hauntings (which are very minimal). A great film!

While I enjoyed it, it just seems to me like it'd be well-suited for direct-to-DVD or festivals only then DVD. Had some great moments, and just as good as the other W&G short films, but it's just lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on. On IMDB, I rated it 8 out of 10. Oh, and btw, MOST of the 0other folks in the theatre with us were families - is it just me, or does it seem odd to bring little kids to see a W&G movie? A good portion of the humor in it was a bit too adult-oriented for little ones IMO.<< My kids really want to see this movie, so I was looking for reviews on LP. The movie is rated G Ann, what was in it that wasn't appropriate for kids? Especially since it got the G rating?
