I still have a few questions about the characters.

This movie is sick, twisted, and a waste of time. I laughed nonetheless, at its absurdities and such, and was glad no cash came out of my pocket. A few good jokes, and I will loan it to any friends who want to borrow it, but SHEEEEESSSHHH.... just plain weird in places.

This is the story of Hitler's last days in the Bunker in Berlin. Bruno Ganz, who played the wonderful angel who becomes human in "Wings of Desire" plays Hitler with an amazing touch. He can seem almost gentle with some of his interactions, and then become the raving embodiment of evil we expect. In the end, a lost, broken desparate coward trying to convince himself and others that he is beating the Russians by taking his own life. It isn't for everyone, and there are a few gross scenes of war, but quite a compelling movie.

This was a fun commentary though Gene Barry hardly says anything. Anne Robinson is informative, warm, funny, interesting, intelligent and seemed to really be knowledgable about the film, how it was made and was interested in all the apsects of it while on the set.

Pretty good I thought. From what I had heard I was expecting it to be a lot gorier than it was.

It was okay. Charachters were very cute. Liked the music but story was sort of ridiculous.

    Ring 2
    DVD rented from Hollywood video.
Wheat thins with cheddar cheese and Take 5 candy bar.
A far cry from the first one. Was only mildly scared and very confused.

Tom Hanks once again leaves me unable to do anything but admire and love him. And the movie was very sweet.

But for me, neither of those things was enough to counter the fact that the movie was also completely, blatantly, ridiculously implausible in just about every imaginable way from beginning to end.

It was SO Spielberg. When he wants to go for a cheap emotional moment or to advance a plot point, he doesn't let logic or probability or character consistency stand in his way. So a character can't understand English one minute but can speak it using current idioms the next? Not an issue for him -- otherwise the schmaltzy plot would't work. The head of homeland security for the most major airport in the US can't produce a translator for a common East European language for several days? (Well, okay, given Homeland Security's performance in *real* life, maybe that's not so hard to believe.) We just have to accept that, because otherwise the one-dimensional characters wouldn't have to do what they need to do to advance the schmaltzy plot. *Repeated* unlikely convergences of central characters in the world's busiest airport? Well, whatever needs to happen...

    Blech, blech, blech.

Very good. Pleases both the Mars and Venus sides, sports and romance. I was surprised.

Because the books get better as the series goes along, so do the movies. Great film.
