Matt Damon did a great job in the lead role of Rudy Baylor. I have read most of John Grisham's book and this is one of my favorites. In my opinion, the movie did the book justice....even if if was the television version.

Very sad movie. Very tragic that millions of people have felt the need to live lies, that they couldn't love who they wanted to love. Waste.

I have wanted to see this movie for a long time but just never quite got around to it till last night. It was just okay. I didn't love it and I doubt I will watch it again. I really love Laura Linney and she did a good job in this movie.

I'm not sure how I feel about Kinsey, the man. I still don't feel like I know anything about him. The movie was very vague about his study of pedophiles.

WOW! What a great movie. It was so sad when they killed Kong at the end...not like I didn't know it would happen, but still.

The big flop of last summer and frankly I don't why. They movie while having plenty of action had some really interesting things to say about cloning. Definitely give it a chance.

Took me a second to figure out who was doing the voice of Aslan, and then when I figured it out, I wished I hadn't because then I found it distracting. Qui Gon became Batman's mentor and then is now playing Jesus posing as a lion. Tilda Swinton was awesome. There were quite a few times when I was reminded of "Lord of the Rings" (especially the cavalry that arrives at the end), but it didn't compare to "LotR" (hadn't ever read those books either). Some of the CGI was really good, but other times, it was pretty bad. I've never dealt well with talking animals though. Disappointed that the polar bears were on the bad side, but the cheetahs looked awesome. Was surprised that Jim Broadbent was in it but then was disappointed that he was only in it for about 10 minutes. Liked it enough to be willing to see a second one.

We saw "The Family Stone" today, and I really enjoyed that. I'd seen one or two trailers for it, but I don't think the trailer nearly captured how good the movie was. It was fun, and I laughed really hard at times, and other times, it was a bit uncomfortable, and I cried at times. Lots of name people in it (Craig T. Nelson, Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Claire Danes, Dermot Mulroney, Owen Wilson), and everyone (including the actors I didn't already know) were really good. Eldest son brings his girlfriend home for Christmas to meet the family. Drama ensues. I found the movie very thought-provoking at times. I'm never going to have to deal with the situation, but what if your beloved son brings home a woman who you just know isn't right for him and who doesn't fit in with the family? What do you do? And I've heard enough horror stories about in-laws that I'm grateful not to have been tortured by mine.

I agree with you 100% Icey. I crack up still when I watch the new version, but then again, I didn't "get" Napolean Dynamite. FWIW, my kids hate, H A T E hate, the original version.

The only actress I didn't care for was the actress for Veruca Salt. She didn't seem very convincing. Other than that, I LOVE the new version. :D

I've never seen any of the W&G cartoons, so I may have missed some inside jokes. As a W&G newbie, it was enjoyable but not nearly as funny or involving as "Chicken Run."

Shown with a short, "Christmas Caper," which I'd already seen on the Madagascar DVD, but enjoyed seeing again.

I really enjoyed this "feel good" movie. Based on a true story, it takes you back to an time, (one year after I graduated from high school), that is difficult to imagine. Josh Lucas is awesome not to mention nice to look at. The soundtrack is great. I'm glad Bruckheimer, since he doesn't have anything else to do, decided to go with this one.

Good movie, though I'd like to see it again. You see, the theatre was full of screachy rude teenage girls. 'Twas hell.
