Loved it! I had tears in my eyes at the end and the kids want to read the books now. Very creative, sentimental, romantic. Emma Thompson knows how to write a screenplay. I'll definitely get this when it comes out.

An adorable movie. Storyline wasn't that exciting, but George is so dang cute, it just didn't matter.

I want a monkey like George!

I rented this movie because my girls are using the song "Molly Smiles" for their ballet dance in their June recital. It was just another rich girl, loses it all, needs to get a job yawner. Dakota Fanning did a great job, but the whole thing fell flat for me, especially the ending. Blah.

I love this movie, it's a "feel good" kind of movie and then the end comes and I cry every single time.

I've loved this show ever since it first came out, and it has a massive emotional connection for me. When I saw it in the theater, I did get a little weepy, but not like I expected to. Last night, however, it hit me hard. I'm talking full on sobbing & heaving. I just love this movie so much. I also enjoyed the deleted scenes, especially "Goodbye Love," which should have been IN the movie, but I think overall, I prefer the original ending, not the deleted one. It has more of an emotional impact for me.

    This morning:

    Ringers: Lord of the Fans
    rented it on DVD
    no snacks

Good documentary. Nice to see some of my fellow LOTR fans again (and awesome to finally get to see one of my online friends "in person" in one of the scenes [she's garfeimao, with the gals who are Loons, for those who are curious]).

I hadn't watched this movie in several years, and it had a deep resonance for me as we now own three cocker spaniels (and a month-old litter of six puppies). I could see so much of our own babies in Lady. This one is now one of my top 10 faves (and I can't think of a better way to watch it than the way I just did, curled up on the couch with one of our cockers curled up on top of my hip :)).

Love, love, LOVE this movie! I just can't get enough of it.

    Last night:
    Footlight Parade
    watched it on TCM
    frozen dinner

I've wanted to see this movie for years, especially after seeing the trailer two years ago at the Great Movie Ride. I really loved it. James Cagney was just riveting in it, and the "By a Waterfall" number was utterly spectacular. Truly a hallmark to Busby Berkeley's genius. I can't wait to own this one next week on DVD!

Very cute - glad I finally bought it. :) Took me ForEVER to figureout who was voicing Melman, which I find kind of odd since I enjoy Friends so much!

Neither of us had seen it before. I really like this one. The music was awesome, and I was quickly absorbed into the movie.

I was IMin' with muh dad a few days ago, and he said "it was very funny!!!!!" Y'all just don't know what a knock-you-over-with-a-feather thang it is fer yer 6 foot 4 quiet conservative country values farmer daddy to use multiple exclamation points to rave about how funny a Matthew McConaughey-Sarah Jessica Parker movie is.

    I'm still befuddled, lol.
