Add this to the list of things that make me angry. Though I thought the Martin Mull version of the joke was funny.

I've never seen this film but it was worth the accolades it's received. Not as good as Young Frankenstein but still very funny.

    16 Blocks
    DVD
Pretty standard Bruce Willis action thriller. Mos Def is a good actor but his voice is really annoying. Still I liked the film and would recommend it as a rental.

    Running Scared
    DVD
By far the worst movie of the year. Went from tedious to downright boring. And honestly was it necessary for the "F" word to be said in every single sentence.

    Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
    DVD
I'm not sure if I liked this, but it was interesting. Give it a rental.

Pirates of the Carribean:Dead Man's Chest
    Theatre
Now this is a movie. I loved each and every minute of the film. Can't wait to see it again.

16 Blocks - it was just ok. Mos Def's voice drove me crazy.

Find me Guilty - Vin Diesel in a very different role for him. He reminded me of my kids peditrician.

Pink Panther - BORING. I only lasted about 1/2 way through it.

Failure to Launch - just ok.

good Korea flick about a serial killer

    Rashômon
recorded off either Sundance or IFC
Great 1950ish Toshiro Mifune flick (directed by Akira Kurosawa) about a rape/murder - you get the story from the three people involved and one other who was a witness. Interesting to see how the differet people interpreted what happened. Highly recommend this one to anyone who does't mind black & white with subittles. :)

Interesting flick - I need to see sometime if he ever did get the female part of the study published - I'd love to read it.

Glad Eric finally watched this one, ad glad I saw it again - this movie just makes me feel good. :) It's just stunning to look at, too.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
    local multiplex
Woo woo - I'd give it an 8/10. Good movie, but not as good as the original, unfortuately. Oh, and Capt. Jack is still a total hottie. mmmmmmmmmm :)

I really loved it. My mom liked it, and my stepdad thought there were too many instances of action followed by long boring lulls. Of course, he also thought it wasn't funny, but I caught him laughing out loud a lot, lol.

    This morning on TCM:
The Nutty Professor (the original Jerry Lewis)

I hadn't seen it before, and I didn't get to watch all of it, but what I saw was actually pretty good.

    Midnight viewing @ theater

I'm one of the few that didn't care for this movie. I felt there were too many slapstick Captain Jack gags, too many repeat jokes from CotBP, it was too long, lost my interest about 1/2 way through, was predictable & just didn't care for the storyline, or lack of one.

While I won't say I hate the film, I didn't love it either. Since I stayed awake until 3 AM to see it, maybe it was because I was so tired. So I will give it another viewing when I can find a sitter.

Also, after I sat through the 3 hours of credits, our theater didn't play the clip at the end. Grrrr, so I at least have to see it again to see that!

Oooo, this is a really good movie! I liked it a lot, and am wondering what the subject will be in National Treasure 2, which I see they're making, according to IMDB.

Really loved this movie. I could relate to every character in one way or another. And yes, I cried. LOL. I am such a huge sap when it comes to movies. *Huge*.

Eric made me watch this, and it was actually pretty ok. 1979 flick (that was jsut recently made into a game by the Grand Theft Auto people) aobut a gang trying to make it from the Bronx back to Coney Island after a big meeting of gangs where some bad stuff goes down. Pretty interesting, AND the main character is the dude who was the male lead in Xanadu, so bonus for me there! :)
