This movie stars Queen Latifah and is based on the true story of a former drug-addict with HIV. It basically shows her relationships with her family members, especially her oldest daughter who she lost custody of during her drugging days.

It's a sad movie. Queen Latifah did a great job. I think she's just a very likable, talented person. I don't know if I really enjoyed the movie.

Fun movie. Sort of a 21st century update of Hitchcocks Rear Window.

Any of you who know me know I am a big Will Ferrell fan and also know that I usually adore totally stupid movies. This movie, however, bored me to tears. There were some good lines that made me LOL but overall the movie just didn't do anything for me. Matter of fact, it bored me so that I fell asleep and when I woke up I didn't even care what I had missed and just put the movie back in its envelope and sent it on its way.

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for something silly. ..... Nah, this is *me* we're talking about, I'm *always* in the mood for something silly! LOL.

Still love Will Farrell though and canNOT wait to go see Blades of Glory!

While unpacking and doing laundry. The kids are absolutely pooped out and we're still coming down off our Disney high.

My how I've changed over the years! I never would have admitted it, but here's the evidence, at some point I grew up (GASP!). I remember really digging this movie as a kid. On this last viewing I kept thinking...
"wow this animation is worse than I remember"
    "this is lame/stupid"
"are they KIDDING with these women?! you don't get a chest that large without some flubba lubba to go with it"
"what did THAT have to do with the story?"
Needless to say... Although the soundtrack still ROCKS and I must have it on my iPod soon, the movie is leaving my collection (it's sitting in the bag of my jeans that are too big waiting to go to charity)

Still excellent after all these years, the only thing that's really dated about it is the computer interface with "Mother".

SeanYoda had DVR'd this and he & I watched this tonight before dinner. I had watched it last night (since I just finished "FLUSH") & liked it way more than I expected.. it's a good teen film, and has a really good Jimmy Buffet soundtrack (a lot of covers too but he's still got it!).

Why do we still watch this thing? It's so campy in spots, and very dated. The dubbing is absolutely awful. But DH and I still pull it out every once in a while.

Patrick Stewart is very buff, and Helen Mirren is great. Some great fight scenes and classical music. Carmina Burana goes well with knights in armor.

Man was this not as good as I rememeber. We went to see this several times at the theaters back in...well... I remember craying like a baby. The first five minutes was terrible. The acting was not to good untill late in the film and it seemed like it was not well written as it was a bit choppy in the story line. Nice photography though.
