The original is still the best, but this is the second best. Hugely entertaining. If I were to rank the series it would be:

    Die Hard-A+
    Live Free or Die Hard-A
    Die Hard 2 A-
    Die Hard with a Vengance-B+

All in all a terrific series.

An oldie but a goodie. Highly recommended if you like Jeremy Irons or Robert DeNiro in his prime. The soundtrack is one of the best of all time, IMHO.

    Labyrinth
    Netflix (from my husband's list)
    no snacks

um. ok. that was weird. Isn't this some kind of cult classic? I actually liked the "Making of" extra a lot more, with Jim Henson, David Bowie, and Terry Jones.

Some good performances, especially by Annette Bening, but the movie doesn't seem to have anything at all to say. More quirky characters at every turn, but the main character seems as lost and detached as the audience. There's the bones of a good movie here, but buried in with a lot of glossy nonsense.

LOVED IT! I barely remember the original, so it's hard to compare. I did recognize Ricki Lake in her cameo. The girls loved the music and especially Zac Efron. We'll definitely be getting this one on dvd. How can you not smile? John Travolta dancing with Christopher Walken had me laughing my head off. They looked like they were about to kiss at the end.

Yep that's right it was playing at local movie house here. I've always loved this movie, it's one of my favorites. Seeing it on the big screen just puts in a new stratosphere. Really if one of these classics that were made for the big screen comes to you town, take the time to see it.

I´ve been wanting to see it for so long I finally went out and rented it. Although there were just a few things about the movie that didn´t quite convince me, I really liked it. And Helen Mirren did a wonderful job.

Note to self: stop renting these weird old movies you think the kids might like. Val Kilmer was fun to look at though.

I'm surprised you didn't really care for it, 2/3; most Henson fans seem to enjoy it. But, a lot of us grew up with it as kids so there's that nostalgia factor, so maybe you have a greater chance of liking it if you saw it when you were even younger than you already are now (*brownie points*).

There's a lot of us who were kids in the 80s that loved fantasy movies from back then like this one and "The Dark Crystal", "Return to Oz", "The Neverending Story", etc. Definitely "cult" status among my generation I guess. I haven't seen "Willow" yet but I might check it out sometime.

We just watched "The Ringer" on demand.
No snacks. (We were full from the vat of R2P2's Count-down Chicken Fusilli I made for dinner.)
The movie was really good and so funny! I have 2 boys w/special needs and have been to many Special Olympic events over the years and it brought back a lot of funny memories of some of the characters we've met! I had to "pause" a few times while we laughed over some of the similarities the characters in the movie had to some of the "real" people we know!

Quite an enjoyable excuse to get out of the heat and into some air conditioning. Love Robert DeNiro. Lots of hunky eye candy.

I loved this movie! I guess you have to really like the Rush Hour franchise to appreciate it. But it was a quick movie, with some of the usual jokes. And the bloopers at the end were hilarious!

I am still loving this movie! Poor Pirate_Prince. I dragged him to see it again. LOL Still love it. I'm understanding more and more everytime I watch it. I would watch it at least one more time, but I didn't get home until 1:00am last night.

As far as The Others: That was a freaky movie. The ending surprised me too!

Labyrinth is one of my favorite 80's movies. LOVE David Bowie in that!! Such a great movie. I think I'll watch it tonight. :)

Something you won't hear from me very often: I enjoyed the movie more than the book.
