Holy Moley! I have never laughed at someone getting a replica of a castle turret jammed up their chin before, but dang this movie was funny. I screamed with laughter at one point.

I know ID is hokey, but I love it and watch it whenever it's on. The Illusionist was great.

Even by the standards of kids' movies, there are some gaping flaws in the logic. On balance, I enjoyed it, but I had to work hard to suppress my objections.

I had wanted to see this and it came on the IFC last night. It was good but not quite as good as I expected. It is about the MPAA ratings board and most of it was not surprising about the discrepancies between films and their ratings. The secrecy of the board, access to it and the people and the appeals process was surprising to me though. It is almost like a government agency that is operating on its own under no authority. It was very anger inducing watching the directors talk about their films and what they couldn't do and how they were treated.

Took DS and a girlfriend. 2nd time for DS and me; 1st time for girlfriend. While not "perfect", such an enjoyable, lighthearted movie.

I already downloaded the soundtrack and am kinda getting excited for the DVD because of the fantastic "extras" potential!
