They're now among my all-time favorites, and I think I'm in love with Bruce Campbell (well, more than I already was, lol). I must be getting more used to horror movies because I think I only jumped once in EDII and none at AoD (though that's more a comedy adventure movie than a horror). Bruce is an amazing comedian with great skill for physical comedy. The scene of him fighting his hand: priceless. Oh, and the 3 Stooges routine in AoD was perfect. I have a feeling I'll be rewatching these movies this week.

Another movie marathon (now that I can't work so much overtime, I'm really going through my movies, lol):

    Coraline
    own on DVD
    lunch from McDs

This definitely was one of the best "kids" film of the year. I never get tired of it, and the visuals are amazing.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Ugh. . . I love the first two X-Men films, and if you've seen me post much, you know I'm a huge comics fan, but I just can't defend this movie. So many lines just made me cringe, and the plot was pretty horrible. So many cliches and rehashed plots (seriously, what was up with Ma & Pa Kent of Canada taking in Wolverine?????). Just a painful experience all around.

And finally, to cleanse me of that bad movie:

    The Maltese Falcon
    Netflix Instant

Brilliant movie. It's been a while since I watched a Bogey movie, and I had almost forgotten how wonderful he was. He just compels you to watch him, even if he's not talking in the scene.

We were curious about it after seeing the Halloween Tree in DL. It was nothing like I'd imagined. I think I should read the book.

    "Nightmare Before Christmas"
Can't get enough of this. I bought the Blu-Ray version last year and didn't realize it included a visual ride on the NOS version of HM :):) Bonus surprise for this year :)

    "Frankenweenie"
I haven't seen this in years. LOL!

    iced coffee

Great movie starring Katherine Hepburn & Cary Grant. It sort of seemed like a simple comedy at first, but it had a deep core dealing with class, familial expectations and social mores. It's a wonderful movie (and who knew Cary & Kate could do back flips?), so look it up if you like the classics.

I saw this for the first time yesterday...I always think I'm too mature (old) for these adolescent comedies...and everytime I sit there laughing till I cry.

Also watched The Wizard of Oz...never gets old.
