Not a bad movie..for a documentary about something I know little about. Mostly went over Muhammad and Islams rise to fame.

I had seen this long ago , though after the 1976 remake and didn't remember much. The reviews of it are not the best and though my memory was that it was really good, it was not. It had loads of potential but it seem like it was edited down and the story id fractured and very loos. Still the production values were great and it is fun to see Shirley as a mean girl.
As a side note, one of my guilty pleasures is the 1976 version. (blush)

Just awful. Way to mess up a classic story. Joyful Ghost of Christmas Present? Completely creepy and horrifying. Gratuitous stupid special effects. Poor Dickens is rolling over in his grave. I want my $60 and 96 minutes back. Even the kids hated it. Don't waste your money!

While not reflective of the quality of the film, I need to re-watch the last 15 minutes since I fell asleep.

Still really, really love this movie. It still makes me laugh my head off, and I get teary still, even if I don't out and out cry any more.

    Today:
    Superman Doomsday
    Netflix Instant

Ehhh, it was okay. Liked James Marsters as Lex Luthor. My mind kept cataloging all the changes between the comic's "Death of Superman" story and this movie. 95% of it or so was different.

Great movie and Monique deserves an oscar hands down for her monsterous performance. But a difficult movie in all for me to reccomend just because it's so unbearably difficult to watch for the majority of the runtime.

Great movie. Almost had forgotten how good it is.

    Yesterday:
    On the Waterfront
    Netflix Instant

Powerful movie. I really loved Karl Malden's performance.

    Today:
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
    Netflix Instant

Still probably my favorite animated Batman movie with my all-time favorite Joker, Mark Hamill.

Why have I not heard more people raving about this movie? It's brilliant, gorgeous, and original. I enjoyed it despite the projectionist not actually getting the whole movie on the screen. Then there was this odd smell in the theater...

<--Has crossed the Brookhurst Theater off the list.

I was dissappointed. Didn't think it was good. My 10 year old didn't like it either.

My husband and I liked this one, it seemed like the rest of the audience did too. It was scary, cuz it was how you would think it would REALLY be if your house was haunted!

This one was ok...don't go see it if you don't have 3 hours to spare! It was too long in my opinion. The effects were good, but I really don't believe in any of that bs.

Finally decided to give Mad Men a try. Watched the first disc, thought the opening two episodes were a little slow but the third episode hooked me in.
