After the nearly faithful way Chris Columbus adapted the first 2 Harry Potter books I thought this movie would be somewhat faithful to the source material, in spite of the actors being much too old. It's just as well this movie didn't do well. So many of the elements set up for the sequels were missing, I don't see how they'd have been able to film the other books.

My kids really loved it too.
