Great parody and satire (at the same time) of Japanese xenophobia. Made by the same director who made Executive Panda and Calarmaria Westler. I was amazed to watch such scathing criticism of the Japanese from a Japanese director. The foreigners get it good too, but in the end the two most sympathetic characters are Americans, go figure.

I loved it! It was way better than The Princess and the Frog. I loved Rapunzel's spunk. Very funny very entertaining. I had my friends 7 year old little girl with me. She giggled through the whole movie.

As a placeholder and set-up for the grand finale, it was good. But I'm not so sure they really needed to split this into 2 movies. Like the book, most of what took place in this one could have been edited way, way down.

I thought it was well done, but really went because my kids wanted to see it. My oldest said they changed quite a bit from the book.
