Hmmmm, I really wanted to see this at the cinema, but of course kids and career make that a challenge. It was not great cinema, and was bad in parts, but it had a great story arc and look to it. After a night's sleep, I liked it. 2.5/5

    TRON Legacy 3D
    Cinema
    Rocky Road Baskin Robins
    Sugar Popcorn
    Diet Coke

This was my second outing with this film for Stageman's 40th, and was a chance to take Sarah. I loved it even more the 2nd time, Bio digital Jazz Man

The new Tinkerbell Movie (can't remember the name)
    Cinemagique
    Coffee

It was not as bad as I feared. The kids loved it, and in the main, I enjoyed it.

    Princess and the Frog
    Cinemagique
    Coffee

3rd time seeing it, great songs, some nice animation, but pretty forgettable IMHO. Fun if you have time. The kids like it.

Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would after I got over the outrageous price we had to pay to see it!

OMG - this was such a fab movie, so much fun. Mikey (now 7), Sarah and I adored it (though Medusa and Hades did scare Mikey, which added to the entertainment factor). I really hope they make the rest of the series!

Hmmmmm, interesting. Sarah and I are not sure if we liked it or not. Mikey loved it. Jess started playing 15 minutes into it.

Clash of the Titans (the new one on Sky Movies) - hmmmm, it is not really a remake of the old one (which I loved), nor is it a new version of the story as told by Homer. But it is a fun adventure movie if watched in that spirit.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (DVD)- this is the first

Astroboy, Sky Movies - OMG this was excellent, so much so we watched it twice. Most enjoyable animated feature in a long time, with great heart. More interesting than most of what the mouse has offered since Eisner left.

Dispicable Me, DVD. OMG this was soooo funny, so much fun and a lot of heart. We all loved it!

Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back - Sky Movies. Ok, I have been meaning to watch this for years. It is very crass, but I haven't laughed so much at a movie in years. I loved it and hated it at the same time, but mostly loved it.

Oh, but wait... I saw ummmmmmmm Just Go With It.

    Alamo Drafthouse
dinner was as usual their Godfather pizza and a Coke. Mike had chicken strips and an Italian soda.

Good movie - my buddy Mike chose seeing that as what he wanted for his birthday, so I went ahead and took him, though I'd been hoping he'd want a steak dinner like last year. Rats on that front, but turns out that it was actually nowhere near as bad as I thought. If you just go in wanting to see a cute, predictable rom-com, then it's a fun movie! It also ends up fun if you go in with VERY low expectations. :) hehe

Now, if someone can please explain to me why it is that when Mike & I go to the movies, I choose stuff like A-Team and The Expendables and HE chooses stuff like this, I'll be quite appreciative. :)

I'm so glad someone else liked this movie!

I felt this movie (and to a lesser extent Speed Racer) did an excellent job of transferring my nostalgia towards the Old Cartoons to the big screen.

    >Alamo Drafthouse<

I want to go to the Buttnumathon there at some point.

    Latest movies I saw...

    The Social Network

I hated this movie, and it doesn't help that I can't stand Eisenberg more than I can stand the real Zuckerberg.

    Exit Through the Gift Shop

I really enjoyed this movie, but I'm a sucker for Banksy. I recommend it though.

It's a 24 hour movie festival for Harry Knowles (ain't it cool news) Birthday.

But it's crazy hard to get into. There are usually around 10,000 applications to get in.
