Natalie Portman was just okay in the film, but I give her a pass just because she's so dang cute. And Tom Hiddleston as Loki was one of the best comic book villains I've seen. I wasn't too excited about this but now I can't wait for the Avengers next summer. Hopefully Captain America comes through also. A- Little Fockers(Paul Weitz)-Here's a franchise that should have never become a franchise. Completely unfunny, uninspired and lazy. I swear both Stiller and DeNiro most have told the director to have their lines on LARGE CUE CARDS. I couldn't even make it through this film. F And Robert DeNiro, what happened to you? You used to be an exciting actor. You used to be an actor people looked up to. Now you're just slumming it in garbage like this. Get back with Scoresese. Work with Christopher Nolan. A David Fincher and do some real work. Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides(Rob Marshall)-Not the abomination critics make it out to be. But after this one I'd be okay if they stopped making Pirates films. Depp and Rush are entertaining as always. Penelope Cruz was decent enough. Ian McShane was a little bit of a let down as Blackbeard. The film was just decent, but I'm having trouble remembering much about. I'll give it a B-

And that means I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. I do think they'll need to stop making them after the next one, maybe, BUT, in the meantime, bring on more Johnny Depp and more hot young preacher dude!

I give it a 6/10. Was nice to see Matt Dillon, and tons of actors I recognized, but...Chris Brown?!?! Really? A woman beater? Ugh.

I really can't explain why I watched it...the remote was within reach the entire time. I've got no excuse. 'Extract'- It was okay. Entertaining enough. I HATED Ben Affleck's long hair. I much prefer his normal rug any day. Had a few funny lines; plus, we always appreciate ball jokes. Seems like I've seen more movies lately since the Stanley cup playoffs are over and there isn't a game on every night. I might even reclaim my social life.

And, does your vt and cable box not have a setting to power on at the same channel every time? Mine comes on to ESPN HD every time. It's pretty sweet.

So, I had some preconceived notions going into this, but started hearing reviews when it was first released that tempered what I anticipated. I thought it a good romp, more along the lines of "Curse of the Black Pearl", though Jack's entrance was much more functional, pity. There was a nod to the attraction as well as (I thought) to one of Johnny Depp's other movies of a more serious and adult nature. Let's see who can guess what I thought the carriage scene somewhat reminded me of. Speaking of the carriage scene, did anyone else recognize Dame Judi Dench? It took her one line for me to get it, but it was her! We'll probably add it to our dvd/blu-ray collection when it's released. We have all the others.
