I'm a long time Tom Hanks fan so I was hoping there would be more substance to this film. It did have it's charm, though, so I do recommend it to TH fans.

This was hilarious, and often crude, but made me cry and laugh out loud more than any other movie in years.

    You Again

I really enjoyed this movie. I like Kristen Bell (also in Forgetting Sarah Marshall).

    The King's Speech
    DVD rental

The third time and still wonderful. I picked up a lot of things the second time and this time it was a more familiar enjoyment.

    Burlesque

It had its (rare) moments. Christina is an amazing singer.

Again, some parts were really good. It was entertaining. I couldn't believe how old Adam Sandler's girlfriend made me feel.

My son and I had a great time watching this! Giant robot smashing the snot out of each other is always good fun for us. I just wish they could have come up with a more appealing love interest for Sam. How about the Aussie chick from the first film? She was smart and beautiful and had a point other than window dressing. Which brings me to another short coming, not enough Julie White as Transformers' best female character, Sam's mom. But I love, love, loved the Star Trek Spock references, especially fun as Nemoy was the voice of Sentinel Prime.

I dug it. MUCH better than part 2 - big robots fighting still, yeah, but it just looked better and I appreciate them slowing it down some!

    Sin City
    dvd
    water

I didn't really dig this too much. Friend of mine from college was in it, though - nice to see Jason playing a neat role (he was "Hitman").

    The Last Days of Disco
    DVD
Sunday night dinner, whatever it was LOL

I really dug this - decided to see it after hearing Kevin Smith sing its praises

there are some others... I'll try to post what they are later today maybe when I look through his collection and try to jog my memory.

Much better than I expected. Loved Michael Caine, especially. Too bad about the title.

Because I went into it expecting it to be different than the book, I enjoyed it. One thing did bother me: over all 8 movies, some variation of "You have your mothers eyes" has been said to Harry. So why did they cast an actress with brown eyes to play Lilly Evans Potter and not at least digitally turn them blue or use colored contacts?

I thought they did a great job. I always have my quibbles with the difference from book to movie but I could live with them.

    Yesterday:
    Cars 2
    local theater, in 3d
    no snacks.

I only went because it was free. I used an AMC gift card. Cars is not one of my favorites. This movie was alright. I laughed a couple times and did enjoy the pretty scenery. I don't think I will be buying it on DVD.
