Which means we'll be seeing it again soon since he zombied out a a bit and I was too busy yawning at some points to pay close attention. Oh, and for those who didn't realize this: those tickets you can buy at CostCo for Regal/Edwards/whatever the other name they operate under is CAN be used when it says No Passes Accepted. You just have to pay an upcharge if it's 3D or IMAX or you're in Times Square. Which means I paid $15.99 for two tickets to see The Avengers instead of $20. Anyhow, I give The Avengers a 7.5/10 - didn't love it as much as I thought I would, plus Thor didn't take his shirt off at any point. Ah, but they did have a pretty cool Batman trailer.

I thought the part where Ironman/Spark was wearing a Black Sabbath t-shirt was a nice detail. It was worth the money to see at the theater.

Of course, I've been big into stop motion for a long time, and a fan of Aardman since I first saw Wallace & Gromit in The Wrong Trousers wayyyyyyy back in early 1994. Special thanks go to my BFF John for taking me to see that movie at (I think) a showing at Rice University. 50/50 RedBox chicken fajitas Wow, really good movie, and I enjoyed the special features; I hadn't realized it's based on the life of a friend of Seth Rogen. Anyhow, it's weird that it's a comedy about cancer, but that's what it is. And Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an AMAZING actor. And I really like the girl that plays his therapist - seen her in a few things, and she's just adorable.

Anyhow, Friday night we saw: Dark Shadows in IMAX Regal frozen Coke Loved it! Such campy fun! Only complaint is that even to ME it was WAYYYYYY too loud at first. I think it won't be anywhere near the top of the pile this weekend since the showing was only maybe 1/8 full. It was a 10:15 Friday night showing. Then Saturday, we decided to be awake for our 2nd viewing of: The Avengers Cinemark Coke Icee and small popcorn Wow... turns out despite thinking I'd only missed a few seconds on the first viewing, I'll now admit I probably missed a good 5 minutes at our 12:30 am last Saturday morning viewing. Oh, and Matt thinks he missed at least 20 minutes or so. Anyhow, this theatre was PACKED for a 2:55 Saturday afternoon showing. We got there about 40 minutes early and there were already about 15 people in front of us in the line waiting to get in. Oh, and in case anyone cares, I read in the new (May 18) Entertainment Weekly that someone is working on an "origin story" film for Ant Man, who was apparently a founder of The Avengers. Oh, and saw a really awesome Batman trailer. But I have one question - how does Bane (or Bain?) eat? It doesn't look like he ever takes it off, so I want to know how the heck he eats. DDMAN? You reading this? I expect you may know the answer, if anyone does.
