I enjoyed it but didn't love it so we are giving the DVD to our grandson :) DH said that we are a little old for the target audience although we did get the humor via remembering our kids playing the "old school" games. Not sure if our grandson will like it or not but maybe his parents will :)

Sometimes you need a mindless action film with a thin plot to lose yourself in....

The 3D helped I think but it stayed somewhat in harmony with the original Wizard of Oz movie, but had it's own flare. I finally know how "the Wizard" got there. I can see why it has done well at the theaters. At the end of the movie people actually applauded. I don't know if it gets any more liked then that.

A family of 6 came in right after we got there. The each had arms full of popcorn, candy and drinks. Just a close, in my head, calculation told me that they spent well over $100.00 for a 2 hour movie. Kind of makes Disney's Park admittance sound like quite a bargain.

Of the four of us, the best/kindest response was "It was good, but not great". Another was, "I didn't like it at all."

I liked it but my boyfriend didn't.
    The special effects were good.
I didn't think Mila Kunis was that good at playing the wicked witch and it was hard to believe Rachel Weisz as an evil person.
Michelle Wiliams and James Franco were good though.

What a great film. And I didn't recognize Harrison Ford for about 5 minutes!

I highly recommend this for anyone, baseball fan or not.
