I think it does need a major refurb. I know I will probably get flamed but it is just extremely cheesy especially after the last so called refurb. I mean come on you think they could lower the lights so you can't see the missing ceiling tiles or the water stains on others from roof leeks?

I think what it really needs is a lower ceiling and maybe walls that follow the track so you aren't moving from one giant square room to the next. Something along the line of the 3 caballeros ride in Epcot.

Hmmm, interesting. It appears as if the article has been edited. It originally had a section concerning moving IASW.

Sad thing is, it was. Personally I think it looked worse afterward though. Though my memory of the pre-refurb ride is kind of faded so who knows.

I noticed that too ... I remember it saying the ride was "moving" but the impression I got was the entrance (loading area) was moving to the side of the building but the buidling itself was not actually moving.

    Does anyone remember something different?

True or not I can totally picture it and love the idea.

Either someone completely made it up, or they are thinking about it and someone accidentally leaked it out.

The idea of moving it ... to open up the area, and give the ride a proper facade sounds great. But we know Disney likes to do things as cheaply as possible .. and the whole idea just seems like it just a bag full of hot air.

And I just don't trust at all that they will maintain the original ride - and dare to put the Disney characters in it.

    They wouldn't.

Sure, Disney is moving Small World ... but they're moving it to EPCOT, along with CoP ... and you know Horizons is moving to Tomorrowland too!

(at least this site only has three pages of posts on the absurdity and not the hundreds that others do!)

the new fantasyland is to heavy with the "fairy Factor" ,A villin volcano, similar to tokyo seas would fit behind small world and haunted mansion. look at the google images . You would enter form the new fantayyland, and it would make fantasy land and the castle have a beautiful mountain backdrop.
I recall reading posts about this last year.

I actually really like this idea - how about modeling it after The Forbidden Mountain from Sleeping Beauty. I mean, they're going to have the whole happy, princess area - why not add another section themed to a haunted forest, capped off with Malificents' domain - which would include, of course, a new thrill ride.

I think that would go a long way towards evening out the theme of the new land, which is currently a little too heavy on the cute!
