Yes, but most of us don't engage in something as juvenile as vandalism.

    1. End the ride at the top of the sphere. You can only get to the bottom by sliding down a firehouse pole. How do the cars get down? Details, details.... You also get to hear a recording of the Batman theme on the way down the pole!

    2. The track literally ends at the top of the sphere and the cars run off the end and freefall into total darkness. You are saved by a small pool of water at the bottom, but only if you hit it juuuust right.... What about the car behind you? Again, don't focus so much on the details. <<

Now that would be one heck of a ride!

Yes, vandalism... even on an attraction we all do not agree on or an attraction we all do not like is wrong and should not be promoted.

You've said this before, SG, and I think you're the only regular poster who thinks this. I was blown away by omnimover technology when I first experienced it in Adventur Through Inner Space back in 1967. After that is was simply a way to move people through the attraction to tell a story. Yes, I wanted to go up in the ball, but as soon as I left the loading area I was drawn in to the story that was being told, even though it was being told with somewhat simple AA figures and sets. SSE has always been one of my favorites, right from my first ride during Epcot's first week of opening.

And as to what I'd do to fix it? I'd wait till it actually opens in February, and trust the many reputable sources that are posting all over the internet with the information that the attraction is in no way finished.

Really, folks - take a deep breath and calm down!

Technically, SSE is not an omnimover. It doesn't have the full range of continuous movement for the vehicles throughout the attraction that describes the classic omnimover design for ATIS, HM, WoM, etc. The ride system itself is fairly basic, but I was fascinated that they were able to fit all the pieces and parts inside the geosphere to get passengers all the way up to the top and back down again. It wasn't an easy feat to put all of the puzzle pieces together that had to fit inside the oddly shaped structure for SSE.

It's also listed as an omnimover on many other sites. Disney lists it as a Time Machine.

Sorry dandyoung I am not a regular poster just a regular lurker so my opinion may not count.

Of all of the versions of the downward track, just having a touch screen seems to be the lamest. I'm just saying to give them a chance to finish, and then we'll see if we're all on the same bandwagon.

If you look up Disney patent on the Omnimover ride system, you will find that the description is very specific to the vehicles used in HM and does not describe the type of vehicles in SSE.
