Hey "Angelina Jolie" is on QI, and that Mac User dude :p

When the magic leaves, watch BBC.

I don't think QI will be picked up stateside ever sadly :( I mean Comedians on a panel show answering hard questions. I guess it isn't quite football in the groin.

When I arrived in the UK, there were human presenters talking, giving tours of museums, kids answering general knowledge questions and competing in obsticle courses. A whole different world.

QI is one of my fav programmes ever, it is a little like a dinner party without food.

I recall watching some of those British shows on the tube here growing up (We get a mixture of programming from Aus/Can/US/UK or at least used to). I recall shows where adults would ask a panel of kids some questions and get an answer. I also found on archive.org US used to do this type of things.

In Korea/Philippines/China/etc Variety Shows are still common, they pretty much died here. With a few exceptions like the "Amanda Show" or Sonny with a Chance on Disney. They seemed to die around the time I came online (a few years after you) I'm the GI Joe/ First Gen Transformers era kid.

Panel shows seem alive and well in Buzzcocks I mean UK. Here I think outside of Sports there isn't too many panel shows left. (At least popular ones).

But archive.org has quite a few of them from the 50's and 60's.
