He loved scaring me - I had a Daisy Duck cap (that looked like her face on top of my head) and he kept trying to eat it. At one point he got a photo with my 15-year-old sister's head "in his mouth". I couldn't believe she'd happily volunteer for that! He was a WOLF!

    2. The ghosts in the HM (they really look like real ghosts)
    3. Monstro on Storybookland Canal Boats
    4. The Abominal Snowman on the Matterhorn
    5. The skyway (I am frightened of heights)
    6. Being shrunk in Adventures Through Inner Space
    7. The Trex on the train.
    8. climbing the stairs of the Treehouse (I was always worried I would fall).

I loved them all eventually. The only thing that scares me at DLRP are:

The Sun Wheel (still not good with heights)

The fear of a reduction in quality or too great a reliance on character licences

    At WDW:

    1. Mission Space normal verion (I would like to live)
    2. The vertical slides in the waterparks
    3. The rednecks
    4. The fear of a reduction in quality or too great a reliance on character licences

At DLP not frightened of anything except some of the guest behaviour.

At TDL/TDS - I think the only thing that would frighten me are the crowds.

At HKDL - how small it is, will it ever be a fully fledged resort?

My little brother, however, screamed bloody murder at the "oncoming train" in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. That was fodder for much humor later on. *L*

I don't recall ever being scared of anything at DL, but my brother was little he was scared of that science/molecule ride that "shrunk" you. Gosh, I can't remember what that was called. It was the fault of me and my dad as we convinced him you actually shrink. He refused to go on it - they took it out before he was old enough to know better.

The attic in HM used to scare me in the 70's; not the visuals, but the sound. The screams when the heads popped up were MUCH louder then. That was the only part that scared me (startled rather than scared, really), and the rest of it was so cool I was always eager to go on it, but I always was happy to get through that room. :)

-Haunted Mansion popups. Especially the loud head in the attic that screamed "I DO!".

-The abonimable snowman on the Matterhorn.

    - The judge on Mr. Toad.

    -Monstro on Pinocchio.

    - The Canadian soldier dude on Small World. The one that moves his arms up and down and opens his mouth. I don't know, I loved the ride to death when I was little, but hated passing this guy for some reason. I always made sure I was not sitting on the left side of the boat.

Okay, tough confession to make, but here goes: I have a phobia about snakes. I can't watch nature shows with them; can't look at them at a zoo; definitely not in person. The Harry Potter movies have been tough. :)

I honestly just about died on Indiana Jones when I first rode it. I was on the right side of the car, too.

    *sigh*

Anyway, I can almost basically look at it now and be okay. I know it's fake, but it's just the idea....

Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?

Kinda sorta scared of the Haunted Mansion, but it was a fun kind of scared. No terror, just some butterflies in anticipation of the jumping heads in the attic and graveyard.

Okay, as a kid the entire "Alice In Wonderland" story literally gave me nightmares (thinks back to flipping though the Disneyl AIW tale through my view-master while shaking like a leaf).... And yet I was not at all afraid of the AIW ride. However the Mad Hatter gave me the ibby-jibbies (he's just an evil clown in disguise;). I still have a little instinct to protect my defenseless children from him at Disneyland (LOL!).

The Attic in the HM ride used to also really freak me out, as did the hallway with the floating candle abras. You still couldn't pay me to hang out in the attic by myself at night;).

Funny, POTC was always my favorite as a kid and teen; This may sound weird, but the "living quarters" above was more haunting and mysterious than the rideiitself to me. I had this whole imaginary literal "Pirates life" pictured that was going on up there. The thought of one of the pirates watching me unknowingly from their windows used to freak me out and thrill me at the same time. Yep, I was a weird, but imaginative kid. DS11 absoluetly freaked out and refused to ride it from age 4-7 years. Now DS3 is telling me that he doesn't want to go on it anymore b/c it's scary. We'll see if he changes his mind when we go next month!

As an adult, I am still terrified of Astro Orbitor. Went on that once and was sure I was going to fall out- much to the delight of my son. I was seriously near tears.

Another ride that had me near-tears was the SunWheel de Muerto. We thought we'd try out a "moving" car. "Nuff said.

But the one ride that I seriously could see my life flashing before me was TOT. I'm not normally into "thrill rides" but I'm a HUGE fan of the Twilight Zone episodes. I loved the ambience, but kissed the ground when it was over. I seriously couldn't get my breath while on the ride and wondered which would come first; my heart attack or suffocation. The kids ride that one with dad now. The TOT gift shop is starting to feel like home....

SBSBelle22, you may have talked me into this. I L O V E LOVE TOT so maybe I should give the Maliboomer a whirl before they tear it out.

Also in Tomorrowland, I vividly remember the morning when there was NO LINE for Space Mountain and my mom grabbed me by the hand and said "we're going." I was too scared (I'd barely survived Big Thunder) and asked her to let me wait outside. She said "No way, this is the best ride ever. You'll thank me." As we practically raced down the empty second ramp I spotted an emergency exit to the left. I started to exit the ride. She stood in front of me and said "Fine. If you really want to miss out on the BEST RIDE EVER, just exit and wait out front, I'll be out in 5 minutes." I reluctantly got back on and had a great time. I didn't tell her I liked it, though, for years. I tried to convince my dad that she was mean, but he was having none of it. "Your mother is MEAN for taking you on SPACE MOUNTAIN? Poor neglected child." :)

WAIT! They're tearing it out? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honetly though it really does just look bad because it's in the open and you can see it. It's so easy when you're on it. The quick shoot up which doesn't feel as bad as it looks from the ground and then you get to gently float down... and the view is awesome!
