I am a beef eater, although I do enjoy the pork there too. And bottom line is Disney removed the prime rib to improve its bottom line. Guests be damned.

The approx. $11,000 was mostly for sales tax in California with a portion going to luxury and gas guzzler.

a Nazimobile which is a pile of dung: Mercedez Benz Clk convertible with a monstrous engine. Sure it is a fine looking car and drives beautifully when not being brought back to the dealer for warranty issues but like just about all European cars it was built terribly. My Honda CRV is 10x the car and 1/4 the price. I only trust Japanese and Korean cars now.

That was the second time I bought a new Mer Benz and I fully regret it. The first time was in 2001----- a 2 seater convertible roadster which had problem after problem. When my car arived(I had to order it) I drove it from the Bay Area all the way to the Florida Keys, stopping at WDW of course.

I've also had cars by 'the Big 3' American automakers and every one was trouble to downright lemons. I also have never been treated so poorly by dealers. Great experiences with both Mercedes and Honda.

That is quite pricy, here in the UK my car sales tax would have been $8,000.

Two points I would like to raise, firstly though the Nazis did like the Merc, they existed for 40 years before Hitler was voted to power.

Secondly, not all European cars are built badly, and most sold in the US are built in North America. In my experience, European cars have a much better build quality than Us cars, and while Japanese cars do last, Toyota hasn't exactly had a great track record in the last few years. We can blame LEAN Six Sigma for a lot of the diminished quality in the world, and Toyota started the whole trend!

Absolutely. We just threw away an 18 month old, midrange ($100) LG brand DVD player. I'm seeing this lack of quality in EVERYTHING that's sold these days, to the point where I don't want to buy anything because I feel I'm just throwing my money away.

As for the quality of Asian cars, I have an anecdote to share.

The guy I car pooled with got into a fender bender and while his car was in the shop he was provided a rental: a brand new 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe.

The vehicle had several issues (he was the first to rent that particular unit). The worst one was that on the second day he had it ... it wouldn't start.
