Don't get me wrong I'm obviously a big fan of IJA but there are elements of CTX that I prefer - particularly the humor (the pre-show load with Bill Nye and the pre-show has always been my favorite of all time), the AAs (when they work!) - particularly the chasing Carnotaurus and the in-ride dialogue which propels the story much better than Indy's phantom voice on IJA. I have a real soft spot in my heart for CTX - it is a must-ride when I'm at DAK.

A lot of development work had been done on the Disney version of Potterland before Rasulo pulled the plug. The belief was that Rowling and WB would shop the property to Uni as the next best thing as they wanted HP to exist in a theme park setting. Secondly it took Uni months to agree a deal with WB and effectively give away the house on it. There was no knee jerk reaction. Finally Avatar came about because of a meeting between Lightstorm and Disney's senior executive team (i.e. not led by WDP&R). Both Landau and Cameron thought that the world of Avatar should have a real-world existence and a Disney theme park made sense. Lightstorm have a lot riding on the next two films and keeping that momentum going is critical (don't forget Fox don't finance Cameron's films - same deal as Lucasfilm).

The design point for it was to maximise the claustrophobic feeling and to focus on the conveyance movement (typically the darker spots coincide with a higher degree of movement in the jeeps). I also don't think it quite works as well as it should.

The contract states that characters represented, and all the characters from that character's family, are protected under the contract. So Hullk being represented makes the Avengers off the table.

Specific characters are zoned for specific categories namely attractions, F&B and entertainment/streetmosphere. The contract is VERY restrictive for IoA but that worked for them as they didn't want to expand their MARVEL area beyond Opening Day.

LOL!) but Storm is not on the Fantastic Four. Sue Storm is. But Storm is a totally different character. She's on the X-Men team. So Disney could use the Fantastic Four. They Need A Star Wars land where LMA and the backlot are. After seeing LMA for the 1st time and seeing Catastrophe Canyon and the back stage area . I never went back. In the back lot they had a lot of cool vehicles in the early days of the studios. They should have built a pavilion for all these things. When I 1st went when the studios opened . I got to see the spinner cop car from Blade runner and the chess table from Star Wars. Oh and I also got to see the helicopter from Blue Thunder. All these thing should have been put in a setting to where people could see them and appreciate the work that went into making them real on screen. It's sad. That no one has the vision that had 20 yrs. ago. Disney built the studio's so quickly to beat Universal to there opening and it was great when it opened. But for some like me I feel so sad the last time we went . It was like you want to experience the 1st time you see something and and realize as you get older that . They don't care and I just would rather do something else somewhere else.

Jonah Jameson. Hulk I think is just Hulk. Then there are some X-Men characters like Magneto and Professor X (and Storm!). Uni only ever wanted to build the four Opening Day attractions (Hulk, Spidey and Freefall) - the X-Men thing was delayed (a year?) but was supposed to be there in '99. Uni has no rights to use other Marvel characters in attractions - none.
