Today we were supposed to go to church, but we both didn't set an alarm and awakened once it was too late. We're off to the pool now.

On Sunday we visited the Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg and later the airport where we looked for magazines since all shops are closed on Sundays. Later we had a veggie burger at Burger King. It was the first time in nearly two years that I've been to a fast food restaurant like Burger King or McDonalds. After returning home we watched Thor on BluRay.

We saw an old ABC special about the constitution, most of it was cute but when Ally Sheedy (and her big 80s earrings) asked Randy Newman "Am I boring you?" the answer was a resounding YES, and apparently we only saw a third of what she was droaning on about. We also got to see Eddie Carol's widow Carolyn speak about Eddie and writing her book. She was charming and funny and a very sweet person. I look forward to the publication of her book. After the meeting I spent the evening at DLR. I was surprised at how crowded both parks were as it was a Saturday and most APs were blocked so it was only Premium, Premiers and day ticket guests. I was mostly there to look at all the details like one can only do when not worrying about what others in the group might want to do, but I did catch all of the Pixar parade and part of the Disneyland parade. I also rode Indy and Matterhorn using the single rider lines, which work pretty well. In Indy you are put in the wheel chair line which is a less efficient way to get those single riders filling seats, but there doesn't seem to be room for a dedicated line. As for the Matterhorn, I didn't find the ride any rougher, although my legs banged around a bit, but the cars feel more secure so the ride feels slower. I also tried the Jolly Holiday, I got the quiche and salad and they were both good (the salad was really good) but the texture of the quiche was too soft. I was asked to do a survey on food as I left the park so I actually got to tell them about it. Yesterday was less busy, instead of doing anything useful I fired up the Mac Mini and played an old Might and Magic game from back in the 90s, World of Xeen. It's amazing how you can just lose an entire day playing that stuff, it makes me empathize with the kids when they play the X-Box and think they just started when I ask them to get off a few hours later. Next weekend... the wonderful world of packing! I have to get ready for my 750 mile solo road trip and a week of hotel living, bad food and way too much sun. But it's all worth it to see God and man come together for the world's greatest armature racing event.... Bonneville Speed Week!

May I ask which hotel you have chosen for your trip? I don't know how hot it can get there, because I've only been there in January. My weekend will be long. Work already ends tomorrow and on Thursday my girlfriend and I will visit our parents and have a BBQ on Thursday evening . On Friday we will drive to our freind's winery and there we will spend our weekend until Sunday when we have to return to Salzburg.

Dagobert, we are staying at the RIO which is off strip. We have stayed at hotels on the main strip and now when we visit we much prefer off strip hotels. We usually find the hotels to be much better value, less crowded which is huge this time of year at the pools and the machines arent as tight as the strip hotels. We always rent a car anyways, so the location is fine with us.
